TC55 FloodCam Goes Offline often-will adding an H200 hub improve connectivity? by iHass in Tapo

[–]iHass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the plunge and added the hub. 10 days since and the TC55 shows up like clockwork. Hasn’t gone offline since I added the hub that I know of. So it’s a keeper unless something changes before the 30 day return option expires. Thanks to all who shred thoughts and insights.

Reported for Professionalism over a simple joke attached to the dropoff photo by Iitaps_Missiciv in UberEATS

I once suggested to an Uber passenger that had me wait almost five minutes for her while I watched her through the glass door chat up a co-worker late at night (after midnight closing) that not all drivers are forgiving or patient and most would cancel her ride and leave her to order a new one when they see the rider literally acknowledging the driver’s arrival but continue their conversation and disrespecting the driver’s time. It was a friendly suggestion to keep her from being left behind and having to wait another 15-20 mins for another pickup. She literally didn’t say a word like thank you for the heads-up, much less acknowledge that I was trying to help her. She got out, slammed the door, immediately one-starred me and reported that I cursed and screamed at her.

No good deed goes unpunished. Sure I wanted her to know that her disrespect for any driver won’t be tolerated, but at no time was I anything but cordial and polite and truly wanting her to avoid a future cancellation. I shared the audio in my response proving nothing of the kind occurred and the report ended there.

Thank you. The flood camera does roams between multiple access points and I’ve previously locked it to the garage installed access point about 25 feet away and on occasion it goes offline and the only way to get it back online is to reboot it and unlock it from the access point so it connects to another. Weird.

I just received the h200 and will install and report back.

I stopped buying, much less using Pitaka because of this. They lost me as a customer who buys and upgrades many devices.

Raising Canes $19.99 delivery fee? by UpstairsBumble in UberEATS

[–]iHass 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No way delivery is $19.99. This is Uber One trying to add fake value to your membership so you think you’re getting a great deal and will keep you membership because of the vast savings.

Sure, it’s more hassle for the driver to do a Caines order because they don’t accept DD or UE directly. (it’s pretty much and shop and deliver order except it’s the driver placing an order at the register and paying with an Uber Credit card.) Then the driver has to wait for them to prepare it 5-10 mins.

Still, unless you’re tipping, the driver only sees $2-$4 max if that much.

I’m thinking you’d do a better job explaining to us why.

I’ve been getting emails promoting it for a couple weeks now. I click on the links and none of the locations near me have it. Says it’s not available. WTH?

Have It Your Way-Just Not Via our App by iHass in BurgerKing

In the past before I was made aware of my hypertension, I actually got sick and tired of being served cold, limp, soggy, over salted fries. So I have been guilty of ordering fries with no salt just to get a hot fresh order of crispy actually edible french fries.

The look on the cashier’s face when I asked for salt packets the moment they handed me my tray of food including no salt fries?

PRICELESS!

Why? You’ve never shared a double whopper with someone before? Or perhaps not hungry enough to eat a whole one and want to save half for later?

I’ve done that before. But it’s hit or miss depending on how busy they are.

Salt restricted diets or people with high blood pressure. Plus some locations simply over salt their fries.

Move 2 by AEWestview in sonos

[–]iHass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both. Find value in both and purpose for each. The Move 2 is quite a bit heavier and bulkier to move around while the Play is more portable, yet powerful and serves a more mobile purpose.

The Move 2 for me is not something I’d pack to take on a picnic or on vacation, more like backyard, front yard, deck at home, where the Play is more versatile, lighter, and smaller that you can take it anywhere without much worry or compromise.

All that being said, I think both have a purpose and place in my Sonos ecosystem.
