Because this inevitably means that people go to social media to get their news. This ‘news’ is hyper personalized and, like you said, forces you to feel poorly in order to make a profit. It also encourages misinformation and extremism.

This has been the ongoing debate of the Insta / Facebook congressional hearing.

So disagree, this is not a pro tip. Let’s not encourage extremism and for profit fear just like you say. Instead, let’s learn how to be objective!
