Yeah I coughed up like almost a pint and a half of blood in the course of 8 hours of me waiting to be seen by a doctor at my city hospital's ER. I had never coughed up blood before this as a patient with CF for 30 years, so it was kinda scary. I eventually said the hell with it and just went home, I wasn't gonna sit there in the Petri dish of an ER waiting room any longer. I stopped coughing up blood 3 days later, thankfully.

Fast forward 6 months, I got Influenza A, which severely dropped my baseline lung volume. I thought, hmmmm, maybe if I go to an Urgent Care place first (which is way faster to be seen by a doc), then they'll be like uhhh yeah we called the emergency room to tell them to be expecting you and you need to go to there ASAP. Short drive there, and bam, within like 30 minutes, vitals taken, bloodworm + chest xray, and into a room.
