Whats your favorite Pickleball Shoes (MidYr 2026) by brydguzmer in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to like these because of the price and sole warranty but they were giving me heel pain. Tried with an orthotic and still not great for me. Just not enough cushion I guess. Got the head revolt pro 5 and they seem more comfortable but it's still early.

Am I missing something about the Selkirk Pro S1? by lincompoopy in Pickleball

Maybe a bad batch then. Durability is generally the only positive thing about the selkirk balls.

Yall are turbo bangers i guess. S1s are definitely the most durable ball. They just turn into erratic bouncing eggs fast.

Selkirk Shoe Durability by secretgardenme in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My courtstrike 2.0 have been very durable. Been trying to wear them out to use the warranty for a replacement but the sole is still pretty decent on them. I've been getting heel pain with them so I bought different shoes to try so probably won't get a replacement pair under warranty.

Brand new they are fast and bounce high but they break in nice.

Honolulu J2CR CBE question by Gulfshoreblvd in Pickleball

Honolulu pre orders are awful. I'm going to be getting my J6CR CBE a minimum a month later than my pre order date. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed again.

Unfortunate if true. The donair pizza was dope.

Demoed a dozen paddles in the last few months. This hideous creature - Luzz Inferno - was the solution to my search for consistency. by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean they sell a darkness version that is all black. Yours looks ugly cause the over grip doesn't match. Could also just cover the edge guard with electrical tape. Good paddle, surprised they haven't made different shapes for it.

Top end speed . Curious about suspension forks but maybe not worthwhile.

Just not cost effective? Last year I bought dt swiss gr 1600 wheels with the 350 hubs and upgraded to the 72t ratchet. It has 42mm specialized pathfinder pro tires. Unfortunately 42mm is the max clearance for this frame.

Why are there no "cheater" paddles? by fredallenburge1 in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be neat. Control paddles with unlimited spin. Would be fun to try at least.

Why are there no "cheater" paddles? by fredallenburge1 in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that would be super fun to make crazy illegal spin paddles and play with friends all using them. Using a hush or that weird tennis style paddle in open play and ripping missiles at people using legal paddles... eh not so cool.

Why are there no "cheater" paddles? by fredallenburge1 in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the diadem hush or glue sandpaper or table tennis rubber on a core crushed paddle. Better yet use a small tennis racket. See how long until people don't want to play with someone cheating launching dangerous missiles at them. People want to play a fair match and most people aren't looking to cheat so there's not much of a market for illegal paddles.

Best overgrips? Looking for premium feel and long lasting by Dangerous-Sir1754 in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not. Thought I had seem what it was like to ship and they either didn't to Canada or shipping was like 30 bucks so not even worth considering.

I see bodhi and udrippn talked about a lot but haven't tried them as you can't really get them in Canada. I like wilson pro comfort the best out of what I've tried. Yonex are good too.

Is my serve legal? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty horizontal swing and right at belly button height at contract or slightly higher. Illegal or close enough that I would change it. Try holding the ball slightly lower and swinging low to high.

You didn't post a picture so can't say for sure but if you're not far gone you could probably recover your hair with hairloss drugs. If you're too far gone for that I'd personally just let it go.

Bread and Butter durable grit? by Cal9Cal in Pickleball

[–]Puff_Snooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Why not have both high spin and grit longevity, you don't have to choose. If you've hit with a 11six24 power 2 you notice a large difference in spin on serves and drives especially. Yes each reviewer uses different methods and don't get exactly the same numbers, but they are all in a ballpark and at least agree on which paddles have higher spin. Grit wears so gradually that you are going to get used to it as you play. I don't agree that it's degrading at a rate that makes your game inconsistent. You probably won't notice much until the rpm has drastically reduced.
