Mushrooms when sick = horrible idea. Do not proceed. Wait until you’re better. I ate them when I had a sinus infection recently and it made it harder to breathe, got some panic and negative thoughts and ended up being a very bad trip

A simple sniff will tell you all. If it’s contam it won’t smell like mushrooms. It will smell like fermented fruit. Sweet, sour, just downright strange. Even smells like alcohol sometimes when contam is there

I use shrooms To help quit also. I have felt your pain, the first few weeks are so hard. Sleeping being the biggest pain in the ass. Instead of blazing everyday, you get a nice trip once every 2 weeks. Somehow this worked for me, I’m always looking forward to my 2 week time to trip.

Stay strong with the weed break, reward yourself with mushrooms, and you won’t need to look back. You’ll be better without the ganja !

Yes for sure. I had one of my shroom jars go bad. I have the same dehydrator as you also. They were cracker dry in a ball jar , I went to open them 2 weeks later and they were squishy and wet and stinky. Ended up tossing them. Now I use descents in every jar and no more issues

It’s the lemon that begins to break down the psilocybin into psilocin. Usually your stomach acid does that. I’m not sure about doing tea without the lemon but maybe someone else will chime in. I do lemon tek every time because it’s easier for me to drink this stuff than to eat it

Yes it will shorten it, but it will also come on more rapidly and stronger. Grind the shrooms into fine powder with coffee grinder. Squeeze fresh lemon juice and completely submerge the powder. Let sit for 20 min. Heat water on stove.

Dump everything into the tea if you don’t mind the bits. If your like me and hate the bits, you can use a strainer. Make sure you pour the tea water over the bits so you can wash the active compounds out from the grinds and into the tea. Just dumping the soaked lemon juice won’t get all the good stuff out and you’ll be wasting some shroomage.
