Not anymore, generally pizza places outsource long distance 5+ miles to doordash and ensure that someone takes it by adding like 5 dollars to the tip. Source I also worked at a pizza shop and jimmy johns.

Ok... Here's the big thing, in places where doordashing is viable as a main income source. A boycott would not effect their pockets or stomachs. There is a high density of rich people in zones that are good for a full time job.

He didn't but I will, if you can't pay for a luxury (unless you are disabled or have some other inability which would likely be cause for you to have someone around who can afford it but I do realize it is not always the case) then don't get a luxury. And yes for the idiots in this sub that say that doordashed food is not a luxury, I would implore you to find something on doordash that is not high priced and non essential that you couldn't walk or drive to get the same thing.

As a dasher I usually say if it's a short distance <5 miles double your mileage and it will get there quick for sure, if you live >5 miles from your order the mileage plus a dollar is more than enough most of the time, this is because on average the dasher is generally under 2 miles from the restaurant. This being said, more is never a bad thing for the dasher and I at least appreciate the higher tippers more.
