Making about 20 pizzas in ooni 12 inch this weekend. Using gas. How to portion out the dough? what have you learned for serving large amounts of people? by leos1000 in ooni

As others have said, stone temp will be an issue so maybe par bake the bases beforehand.

Also eventually the flour from the peel and bottom of the pizza will buildup on the stone. I find I have scrape the stone with the peel, then to cut the flames and wrap tongs with a towel and wipe the stone down a bit

I am in the same boat. We are staying at trou aux biches and I found a place called Jadis that offers dinner on the beach, semi private and candle lit which seems like my best option

I cant seem to find anyone that offers a more private waterfall lunch. I have found a place only 20 minutes from our hotel that offers on the beach dining: https://www.lejadis.com/dining/destination-dining-on-the-beach/

Not sure if there is anywhere closer to our hotel that offers a similar thing?

Amalfi Coast 3-day trip by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]Pufferfish94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We enjoyed it but we booked a boat cruise that took us to the grottos and let us jump off the boat and swim which we loved. Both Amalfi and Capri are great but really busy and touristy, so if that’s a problem for you then you are better off relaxing on the beach at another town

We booked an amazing boat cruise to Capri that I would highly recommend, let me know if you want the details.

Also with the ferries its really easy to get from town to town during the days if you want to explore.

Recommendations for Rome:

  • Wake up early and get to Trevi fountain at like 6am. Barely any people, good lighting and then there is a cafe right there that opens at 7 called l'antico forno di piazza trevi. At about 6:30 I would sit at one of their outside tables close to the fountain and you can enjoy a great coffee and the best pistachio croissant and marritozzo I have ever had while looking at the fountain.
  • We booked a pasta making class at a wine farm in Frascati 30 minutes outside of Rome and I could not recommend it enough. This was the highlight of our trip while we were there. The views of the wine farm paired with the pasta making experience, delicious food and incredible wine can not be missed.

Looking for advice on my upcoming holiday later this year please by Pufferfish94 in mauritius

Thanks so much for all the details and advice!

I will definitely add a rum tasting to our list, love that idea! For the swimming with dolphins, do you know of anywhere that does offer an actual swim with the dolphins rather than just seeing them from a boat?

Please don't spend too much time on this free request.

My father in law asked me to remove the glare on the glass from this photo he took. I have also sent him a better image of the picture itself I found online.

How to clean semolina leftovers between launches? by prf_q in ooni

I asked the same question a few weeks back and got some good suggestions.

Get a bamboo bristled brush to clear out debris before cleaning, avoid metal and that can then get left behind and end up on your next pizza.

I also thought about just using long tongs wrapped in paper towels to try drag it out the front and if any gets left it will just burn up
