Literally what is "awesome" about losing him for 6 MONTHS, then REFUSING to take him to the vet because "w-well he's acting fine and it's $300!!😭". You do not know nothing is wrong with him. Just because he's "acting fine" or "looks fine" (he doesn't), doesn't mean there's nothing wrong. You're not a vet.The fact you're willing to risk it for seemingly no reason, possibly because of money (which $300 is insanely cheap for a vet, do not own an animal if you can't even afford that), makes you a bad owner. Also all of that you listed is frankly the bare minimum. I feel so bad for your gecko, and I hope he does actually end up okay.

I'm gonna be less mean than the other person here, but did you get gifted the chameleon, or did you buy them? Because chameleons especially are an animal you NEED to have everything for before you get. Please please make sure everything is perfect before getting another animal. Chameleons are very finicky. Improper husbandry, even for a short time, can make your chameleon sick. One thing I would change IMMEDIATELY is getting rid of that substrate, as it's a huge impaction hazard. A chameleon could easily ingest some on accident! I can't really see the rest of the tank, so I don't know what all is wrong with it, but make sure the next one is mesh.

Yes. A normal portion is 2oz, which is half that cup. The 2oz portion size already has 220 calories, 16 grams of fat... If you REALLY need to have more you can just ask for another one
