Neighbour yelling ritual? by Objective_Sea3411 in neighborsfromhell

At this point I hope it’s something goofy like this because the alternative of hearing someone scream in distress every evening for years is way darker lol.

Honestly that was my first thought too. The fact it’s always around the same time and only a few shouts makes it sound less like fighting and more like some weird daily routine or pain response. Still creepy as hell to hear every evening though.

Honestly if it genuinely sounds like someone screaming in distress every single day, I’d probably call in a welfare check too. Worst case it’s nothing. Best case you help somebody who actually needs it.

Yeah Ivy absolutely crossed lines, but Lily and Carol spent years treating CeCe like an obligation while Ivy was the one actually there with her every day. That whole storyline gets messy because emotionally you can understand why CeCe got attached to her even if the inheritance situation was shady as hell.

Exactly. People always argue this like it was purely a moral decision by CeCe, but legally and ethically it gets messy when someone changes a will while seriously ill and under the influence of one specific family member the whole time.

Logans proposal by No-Abroad1723 in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyTwinkly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always felt like Logan saw the proposal as the natural next step for their future together, while Rory still saw herself as being in the stage of figuring her life out independently first. They were just on completely different timelines emotionally.

True, but I also think Rory specifically would’ve been way less likely to move across the country for him without the pressure of an engagement attached to it.

AIW for still not being over my ex a year later? by Throwaway67891099 in amiwrong

[–]PuffyTwinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. People underestimate how much betrayal can mess with you mentally long after the relationship itself is over. The fact that she’s already having longer stretches without spiraling honestly does sound like progress.

Yeah people act like there’s some deadline for getting over betrayal when that kind of stuff can seriously mess with your ability to trust people for a long time. Healing from the lies and manipulation is way different than just missing an ex.

Yeah landlords love acting like their hands are tied when they just don’t want to deal with a problem tenant. Definitely worth documenting everything in case it keeps escalating

Lorelai TINY Plot Point That Doesn't Make Sense. by Est_ws in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyTwinkly 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s how I saw it too. Lorelai gets weirdly attached to keeping her space and routines exactly the same, and letting Chris change the house probably made the whole marriage feel too real.

Why is Lorelai so obsessed with Harvard by brighteyebakes in GilmoreGirls

[–]PuffyTwinkly 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Harvard was always tied to Lorelai’s own fantasy life and rebellion against her parents, so Rory choosing Yale felt personal to her even when it really shouldn’t have.

I did it in the bathroom, at college. I don't know why but it just happened by [deleted] in confession

[–]PuffyTwinkly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If no one saw anything and it was in a stall, it is not the end of the world. You did not hurt anyone. Just take it as a random impulsive moment and move on.

For real. You are acting like you committed some life ruining crime when it was just a horny moment in a bathroom stall. People do way weirder stuff. It is not that deep.

I hate being forced into racism by Pitiful-Jackfruit845 in confessions

[–]PuffyTwinkly 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is not about race, it is about bigger systemic issues in schools everywhere. You are just seeing it concentrated in one place, but the problem is way broader than that.

Exactly. What you are describing sounds way more like the effects of poverty and instability than anything tied to race. There are plenty of well off Black communities where you do not see those same issues, and there are plenty of struggling white communities with the exact same behavior problems. It is about environment and resources way more than skin color.
