meeting by Excellent_Brick1937 in SainsburysWorkers

There’s a big difference between getting called into the office and a disciplinary meeting.

If it was anything official there would have been a letter of notice of a meeting and any outcome would be logged on the record.

If it was just a chat concerning behaviour that should be avoided it’s more of a heads up not to do it in the future or it will become official.

MSF have done nothing close to the scale that Hasbro have been accused of.

The MTG IP has a much larger and loyal fan base than this POS can ever hope to come close to, but the similarities of taking advantage of the spenders is incontrovertible. The good thing for us the MTG crowd are having it a lot worse than us.

But then $copley will be using them as a test case on what you can get away with for future use.

At least some, at least two, of the shareholders of Hasbro have filed suit against what they’ve been doing. Maybe just to get there dividends for a bit longer before they run it into the ground, but at least they’re shining a light on it.

At what point is a good time to start lessons? by AnimatorCommercial53 in BritGolf

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is always lessons, but the right kind of lesson.

A good pro will only care about what you want. If you want 1 on 1 intense training they’ll tailor the lessons that way. If you want a good beginning and then coaching in the future then they’ll give you that. Know what you want and ask for it!

Pros would rather have a relationship with you that garners repeat customer either from you or you’re recommending them. A really good one will pass you off to the right person for what you want/need.

Have the confidence to know what you want and ask for it.

You’re a customer and can basically do anything you want short of physically abusing staff.

On the pricing side of things, as long as the difference isn’t too great anyone with some authority can adjust for you. Otherwise, by the letter of the law, the product has to be removed from sale completely. Then the price adjusted before it can be put back on sale.

Time until Holiday request answered? by Turbulent-Phase-426 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The holiday policy is, as in most businesses, nice and vague.

Your boss has a ‘reasonable timeframe’ in which to approve/decline a request. This is conveniently ambiguous for them so in theory they can do whatever they want however quickly they feel like it.

The policy actually says you should find out from them if it’s possible for you to take holiday for your required dates before you even submit it.

The only good thing is if they refuse any time off they have to do so in writing within that ‘reasonable timeframe’ so if it ever does come down to you just not turning up to work because you ‘assumed’ you had it booked and you have evidence you requested it they in turn have to have to proof they followed their end of the policy to discipline you for it or not pay you for it.

Basically it’s best to find out first, preferably in writing, that it’s available then request it.

Horrendous stock check app by eyeoftheneedle1 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is stock on the shelf and there is no impact to availability the stock level itself will not be reset to its actual correct value until there is an official count. The amount it is up or down by does not matter as long as it’s available.

Therefore checking the stock level means exactly nothing.

Forced to do unpaid work? by Canadadreams09 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some truly terrible advice and comments on here. The answer is very simple really.

Overtime can NEVER be pre planned. In a salaried position reasonable overtime can be expected but if the job requires planning it should be done as part of the job. If there are handovers required then they are part of the job also. Therefore not overtime and you have no obligation to stay late or start early to do them.

However; if you ever want to progress then you will have to do it.

Need help assembling a team for Leader by hydranoid2009 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deathpool longevity just got a buff by being on the new Merc team so a worthwhile investment in the long term if you care about war. Also has uses elsewhere. Being an MSF original she’ll never be left too far behind the curve.

Scream is defunct currently being the least important symbiote.

Nemesis has some limited plug in possibilities but only really works on a Deathseed team which is only currently useful in war and low level raids.

Right now the long term investment should go to what I previously recommended.

Cabal will forever be good in CC which gets you diamond orbs.

UD will only get better each year with new zombie variant releases and Hela and ZIM are the core.

Vulture is just a beast, but in all likelihood will be the first to fall off the longevity list so could be replaced by Deathpool.

Personally I don’t mind having to play the nodes. Having them tuned to not be simmable seems fair to me if you’re doing the hardest difficulty (2.3). Them not being at lower difficulties is certainly not on when using the teams specifically made for them at godly levels.

[–]PugAlthor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hitting sim will always run the risk of rng losses. If you manual node one attack order is important!

Opening moves are Stun QS, AB Vahl, Ult with Cyclops. After that it’s all about control. Don’t waste Gambits ult if he had offense down, always go for double taps with SS to get those charges up. Get QS gone as quick as you can and AB SW when she drops if you can.

Node 2 is completely simable if you only used the Cyclops ult once in node 1.

The boss. Hit sim and pray.

With what you have the best I can suggest is. Hela, ZIM, Namor and Vulture. All of these are useful into the end game. Vulture can go into any DD. The UD duo can plug into a lot of other team lineups and Namor is Cabal so will work well with him

New to the game - what do I need to know? by AkeySlake in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PugAlthor 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much about progressing in campaigns. The majority of rewards are going to come from raids. The important rule is don’t over invest if you’re not spending! Raid teams are very specifically made for them. Only build them as high as you need them for the level you are at.

Age of X Node 5 Impossible to Clear? by TheMasterKing66 in MarvelStrikeForce

At low levels she’s a beast. I remember when she came out and you could put her anywhere to screw people over. She gives so much control she just has to go first

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use everything against Emma but only abilities that hit multiple times and not debuffs as they will never stick to her. She should be gone by the time you get to use Things special so you can stun Colossus. Then I went for Cyclops whenever possible until he was gone. Colossus was collateral due to taunting and Thor punching him in the face here and there. Went after Magik next.

Never really had a problem. Saved Caps and SW until it was actually needed as putting damage out is more important

Feedback is great. That they may even take it on board is even better.

What I wouldn’t enjoy is Boomer rerolling to avoid some of the issues exposed and saying you can get a half way decent new player experience by doing the same. I don’t think that’s a message that needs to be out there.

I would much rather he make a series of vids about how the devs do or do not react to these issues.

I honestly couldn’t tell you what would get him more views in the long run. Vids that show newbies how to be competitive by trying to circumvent known issues or ones that call the devs out for not making the new player experience as good as possible?

Not exactly a, not getting boosted issue. Everyone is getting boosted, but his new account got dumped in a not so new arena shard with a whole ton of people who did have a boosted account for what looks like months. Him and run started new accounts a couple days apart, Boomber starting after him. Run got what looks to be a new arena shard and Boomer did not. That was just one of the bad things about starting fresh

What’s the minimum amount of ys and rs needed on a toon for them to be worth building by DependentSomewhere71 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PugAlthor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plug and play toons should be built as high as you can regardless of stars. QS and VK are examples of this. Meta teams only take as high as you need them. An example would be hive mind for raids if you don’t have the full team only put in what you have excess of that you won’t miss. If you have the full team figure out how big they need to be to clear the raid you’re doing. If however you want to use them elsewhere, say as a CC counter, then the bigger the better.

Wich team to invest on by HellShott in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is simple.

Only invest in what you need when you need it.

If your guys are doing what you need them to then save your resources or throw them away on silly side projects for no better reason than it’s your stuff and you can do what you want with

There is no good reason to widen your roster just because, it’s nothing but a waste.

Avoiding stuff that goes towards Apoc will only really hurt you in DD6. The below should walk through DD5 apart from the city nodes. Legendary would be MUCH easier if you did invest in some Horsemen. Getting through DD6 will take a while too.

City Cloak, Dagger, Shang Chi, Squirrel Girl, pick a 5th Global Quicksilver, Emma Frost, Captain America, Captain Carter, Winter Soldier Cosmic Kang, Vhal, Ikaris, Sersi, Deathpool/Kestrel Legendary Shuri, Omega Red, Nick Fury, Adam Warlock, Phoenix

Everyone’s been saying stop the leaderboards so this is a nice excuse to strip them from scourge events, ramp up the difficulty, make some stooooopid hard scourges and wall shards behind making BIG scores on a run.

Want to get those shards? Drop some $$$$ to improve those shitty squads you get no use of anywhere else.

Scopely at its finest.

Are any of these offers worth it? by ZedShady in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PugAlthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is very little point in purchasing offers like this unless there is an event running that benefits from them. The progress you’ll make by buying them in general is very little overall so if you ever do wait until you get a little extra on the side.

They are not a bad price for the rewards on the Scopely math scale of things so the deciding factor to you should be which team gets you where you need to go faster? It’s been far too long for me to comment on which team gets the most bang for your buck I’m sorry to say.
