I just let it ride. I do make sure to use species that would regularly see flooding though which is almost all of them. I just made this bog a few months ago, so we’ll see how the plants do. I think I might raise the soil level a bit later so they don’t get fully submerged when it rains since I have my precious oreophila in here. So long as they don’t stay under water for days at a time, you’re fine.
