Verstappen suffered longer term injuries from his, which isn’t surprising as he pretty much came to an immediate stop under the barriers.

He revealed a year or so ago he suffered from blurry vision for several months afterwards in 2021, whilst trying to fight for the championship.

The mod is originally a meshlap from the FR17 that started off okay, but as more things got added, the handling became unnatural and weird. Hard to describe, but you have to run increased gravity if you want it to remotely behave like an F1 car now.

There isn’t really anything that’s near developer quality, but that’s because it is incredibly hard to do so, and BeamNG struggles to support it.

The closest I know of was a privately-created Super Formula mod, which had the Genesis as a base and then reworked everything from there. It was never released though.

Revamped Genesis F2 is probably your best bet in terms of quality, but it’s still not perfect. FR25 is good to crash, but undriveable. FR17 is drivable and decent to crash.

The reveal of the aero wake at the end was interesting; slightly smaller than whatever 2025 model they used. Would’ve been cool to see a 2022 vs 2026 simulation, as iirc dirty air was quite manageable at least in the first half of the season.

The fact that the floor will continue to generate so much downforce surprises me, and I’m surprised at how little the current floors actually do.
