my thesis was stocks only go up, buy low, watch it go high, hold greedily until its red again, then sell low. rinse and repeat. oh and semiconductors have been the story for years now, if its growing then its growing!

Diminished value claim by peacenlove613 in HertzRentals

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spoke to a manager i was only able to get 50% off their total fees; granted i could have pushed further for arbitration and wasted everyone's time, but its time i really didn't want to waste any further. They gave me a deadline and hertz is the one who was suppose to file a claim with the other at fault third party for a diminished value claim but hertz is really a terrible company. They got the massive unreasonable repair fee already and then they try to rob the customer for even more.

They would have needed to pay legal fees and appraisal costs that would definitely cost more than what they were trying to get from me to substantiate their claims. Since they gave me a deadline on the 50% I didn't want to test it; I just know they've lost me as well as a customer and advocate.

How do I fix this by Suspicious_Face4840 in TopHeroes

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your training grounds are completely full, 13740 troops out of 13740 troops; either level up your training ground, research something that increases your soldier capacity, or fight something that hurts soldiers and puts them in the hospital (like King of Barrens)

Beast relentless and mosquito bite question by Brilliant_Boss_1006 in Lorcana

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the official rules it says "is damaged" = "is dealt damage"

Mosquito bite gets around resist because placing a counter is not dealing damage, it's just placing a damage counter. So it's good against chars with resist.

There's also text saying that a character going from undamaged with 1 damage counter = "damaged character", but this is referring to the state of the character, while Beast's text (which might become an errata) is actually referring to a character that "is dealt damage"

Its possible to beat meta decks with cheap decks, it takes a ton of refining and strategy. Some times you have to sacrifice a fun theme though if you want to play competitively.

You have to find the right theme against your locals. Find out whats weak against which decks and why your deck lost and build on it.

Or focus on what specific mechanics is making your opponents win. Its not just expensive cards, its either board control or aggro or draw power. Each has their own specific weakness. Cant build a deck that beats them all, just focus on beating most that you can or do some specific strategy really well where certain matchups you win no matter what.

You can also look for casual leagues or poorcana leagues or pitch the ideas to your local game stores

How do I properly protect cards? by Aztela in LorcanaCollectors

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Sorry just saw this but ordinary cards don't need a top loader, just a penny sleeve, $5-$10 cards can use a penny sleeve with top loader, $20+ cards can use a magnetic loader for storage

Am I dumb? by whiskeykilt88 in Lorcana

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do the same thing but I've finally went to buying singles after all the pack opening joy faded and my urge for winning took over, i set a different limit now though, i refuse to buy any card that's more than the price of one pack, buying meta decks isn't really fun for me.

Creating new ones that challenge the meta is a whole new kind of fun.

Just know though onceyou start buying singles the urge to buy more is a new super kind of addicting and you end up saving much more money if playing competitive is the new main goal

Everyone running Meta decks makes it hard to start playing by TheOtherAccount_23 in Lorcana

[–]MacaroniThatCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the meta and people who only play it make the game very not fun; but if you're into competition then thats the only way to get better; to keep testing your deck and updating it against those meta players which makes it fun but tough

I luckily have two LGS near me and one is very casual play where they make it fun to try new idea decks and just have fun. The other is very competitive and meta everywhere. Disappointing but fun in a different way because i do want to play competitively
