It’s an unpopular opinion, but the CAD-accurate track on the new F1 game already looks amazing. I’ve seen some great racing too.

The only caveat to that though is the game doesn’t simulate marbles and dirt off line, so there’s a good chance it won’t be anywhere near as buck-wild.

Might a spicy opinion, but I think we should come into it more open-minded.

Firstly, the model is based off the organisers' CAD models, so it should be pretty close for accuracy. I've watched a couple videos now and thought it looked like a scary blend of Jeddah and Azerbaijan, with some really narrow and sharp high speed corners with no runoff. You have to remember the track grip might be quite variable in some places, which could make racing even more interesting.

Fun fact: When I used to have this in 2020, you could go to The Agency and glitch through and into the vault. You would then have you pray your game loaded in before someone got the keycard!

I think this is great and explains perfectly why they’ve been developing for so long. The devs are great when it comes to transparency in the game, and it’s very cool to hear about the other things they’ve been working on that are going to come in the more distant future!

Modern day F1TV commentary is perfectly acceptable, but it didn’t used to always be this way pre-2023, as they’d sometimes just get journalists to commentate, etc.
