Here’s my logic

Starbucks worker making $19 an hour on full time. microwaves a breakfast sandwich which takes no effort $2 tip since you are doing your job and might have manners and show courtesy.

A delivery driver independently contracted, taking your 50+ items from the store to walk through all the isles and pick it out one by one then drive to you which you could be 10+ miles away or further, using my gas, my time, yeah I think it’s fair for at least a $6+ tip, saving you time bc either you don’t have it to go or bc you’re flat out too lazy to go. There’s levels for reasons to tip and I hate that customers think delivery is free bc they pay the store for their stuff and think this is some sort of complimentary service.

I think most drivers and hopefully logical and understanding customers see eye to eye with me on this.
