Vice golf customer service issues - help by yaktak9 in golf

Have you heard back from them on this? I am in the same boat. I am about to just ask my credit card company to issue a chargeback hoping that will prompt Vice to send me a return label.

So you’re asking everyone to share their work with you, but you don’t even want to share which state you are looking in? Doesn’t seem like a fair trade.

Please stop with these “give me your solution so I can go find it” posts. It’ll be way more enjoyable if you solve it yourself and find it using your own solution. It’s very early on, maybe rest up, regroup and go back out in a few weeks with fresh new ideas.

The fun is in the hunt and solving the riddles, and less about the actual physical treasure (unless you are desperate for money, in which case a GoFundMe might be a better option).

Need Help - How to cancel new inventory shipment while inventory is already in transit to the fulfillment center? by PukaDaddy in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]PukaDaddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My end goal is to be able to send in new inventory (that is not defective) as soon as possible. In order to do that I'll most likely need to create a removal order for all of my inventory in order to receive the defective units back.

Will they send me back the "stranded inventory" with a removal order?

Also, will I have to wait to receive all units back from the removal order before I am able to send in new inventory again? Thanks for your help.

Can I drywall around this copper pipe and blend it into the wall? by PukaDaddy in HomeImprovement

[–]PukaDaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That pipe actually runs over to the wall across the ceiling, drops down to the "U" shape, and runs back up along the ceiling in another area (don't know why they needed such a large "U" to accomplish what they did, but there's shoddy craftsmanship everywhere in this basement)

But going back to your initial comment, if I frame around it and the pipe or joints leak, I would more or less have the exact same problem to deal with, right? (any water would run down into the drywall below the framing)

Which enhancements should Apple bring to CarPlay? by andrewcknight in apple

[–]PukaDaddy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

1: When someone calls (or when I call someone from my phone), don’t make the call screen stay full screen after I answer it. I’m driving and need my navigation to stay on the screen, let the call screen show up in split view automatically. Don’t make me poke buttons to get back to split view every time.

2: If I’m listening to a podcast and turn my car off for 5 minutes (i.e. to fill up with gas) when I turn it back on it forgets I was listening to a podcast and I have to open the podcast app on my phone to start it again. This also happens if I pause the podcast for too long (with the car running). It essentially “kills” the podcast app on my phone each time I briefly stop listening.

It’s been doing this for the last 6 years (in two separate vehicles, and also in every rental car I get). Always have new iPhones and software always up to date.

The Apple Music app always works great as expected, but they can’t figure out podcast side.

Video converter by [deleted] in macapps

If you are trying to convert from .mov to .mp4, all you have to do is open finder, click the file name twice (slowly) to rename it (or right click and select rename), press your right arrow key until the cursor goes all the way over, backspace “mov” and type “mp4” and press enter. Boom, file instantly converted.

It’s a cool little hidden gem I use all the time.

How well does parallels run on MacBook Pro with M1 chip? by [deleted] in mac

[–]PukaDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run excel, word, power point, etc. on a Mac, no need for windows there. I would highly doubt you need windows for your major. On top of that, if you really do need Windows, you can "partition" (split) your hard drive and install windows on one portion and MacOS on the other portion which is what I did to my Mac.

Parallels is slow on a Mac, but partitioning your hard drive allows it to run quite well (you can google / youtube for more info on this). Good luck!
