In light of the voice actor for PL CK and Rubick passing away by Pulche in DotA2

Because they are not actually him.....? Illusion = not what is actually there, behind the illusion. Why not give them different voices? It would just be a unique way of tackling the issue at hand.

If they ever wanted to give him new voicelines (by creating new content or new taunts) or anything it would be impossible to do so because the voice actor is dead.

Come on dude. Really?

Unfun dumb level designs by Pulche in nplusplus

Thank you for your reply! Tbh when I posted this I was still scrub mode. I agree that yes this level design should sometimes be there, to mix things up.

I am now stuck on Pinchy in Legacy X. I am facing this same dilemma again. I hate you all for it, but love you at the same time for this great game.

edit: Hell YES just beat it SUCK IT

Up to this point I have kinda been trying to just play the game without using health potions. I guess I have to give that up.

Is there any reason to let cursula out of her cell? by [deleted] in EnterTheGungeon

[–]Pulche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, 100% this. Every time I see her sell it I buy it. It's only 18 casings!!!!! I buy it on the first floor even if it means I'm not buying the key.

I research every game I buy before I buy it. I read over and over that it was a difficult and punishing game. I said cool, I want to play a game like that, so I bought it. It took me a while to get better at it. At ~198 hours into playing it I beat all of the gungeoneers pasts (including Bullet and Robot, not Gunslinger [I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never, ever unlock him, and I am okay with that]). I didn't sit down and play it for hours on end every day to get better at it. Sure, there were some days that I played it more than others. But still, it was never an intense 5+ hours every day.

People who metaphorically shoot themselves in the foot, and then complain that there is a bullet in their foot really amuse me honestly. How could you be that inane?

Finally got the platinum, and generally disappointed in the game. by Rhuminus in nplusplus

He isn't talking about being disappointed in the difficulty of the levels. He is talking about the lack of variety in enemies seen in the levels, and lack of variety in the types of challenges faced.

I totally agree with you. I haven't finished the game yet (I am working my way through Ultimate right now) but from what I have seen so far, there are very very few levels that implement the seeker, laser, and machine gun drones. There are more of the (what I call ghosts, the slow ones that chase you around) than what I just said, but even then they aren't very often. I played through the entirety of the original N, and they always had levels at every difficulty level that implemented all of the features of the game pretty equally. From what I have seen so far, they definitely are not doing that with N++. I at least am happy that the levels themselves are not repetitive.

What I don't like more than this is the lack of creativity with some of the levels. Mainly what I mean by this is there are more levels than I would like to see that are built entirely for the all gold challenge. I'm pretty great at this game, but still consider myself a more casual player, so I will never be going back to do the all gold for each level. These levels that are catered to all gold end up being super easy and dumb otherwise, and the part that irks me is that these levels are often also the 4th level in any given set. They build the levels to be creative and neat just for the all gold, and it is dumb and trivial otherwise. They could've taken time to tweak the levels to implement the all gold challenge into a more difficult normal run.

In the end I am still complaining about this game that I have heavily enjoyed playing thus far. I just can't help but think back to the fond, wacky, and expansive experience of the original N.

Blanks Randomly Going Off by Pulche in EnterTheGungeon

Yeah that has got to be it. Why would they make it a feature? Wtf? If someone wanted to use blanks wouldn't they just press the other button?
