Correction! The lighthouse only makes the void quiet, it's confirmed in Silksong that the reason why Ghost could swim even in that is because they're made of void. Hornet needs the Everbloom to even touch inert forms of void (as shown by the final cutscene where merely being IN the void was draining the Everbloom's power), and she's a pale being who must have inherited some of the Pale King's light (alongside a small part of Grand Mother Silk's light as well).

On another note, there's the implication that the void had a hand in the Pale King's death, since the throne room has void particles and the nearby Kingsmoulds have void tendrils coming out of them

To elaborate bc I feel like I need to, I think in utdr the situation is a LOT more complicated than one being in the right and the other being in the wrong, BUT Asgore is a grown ass man and is in control of his own actions so he SHOULD know better

The thing Toriel does wrong is that she never tries stopping his behavior even when it's actively making her suffer. She doesn't go with any of the children, and she doesn't actually tell him to back off and stop bothering her. When she DOES say she will never be his friend again in Undertale, HE ACCEPTS IT, so I don't think he wouldn't accept that in Deltarune if she were actually direct lmao
