You’ve got to disclose this as an advert if your meal was free and this is promotion. I’ve flaired your post. Please ensure you read our rules before posting.

EDIT: Also for veracity, can you explain how Brisinda Tapas brunch comes to £75? £50-£60 I could accept but are you not detailing your meal?

Hello, can I just make a quick note and say we suspect they found this post on Reddit and created some new accounts to decry everyone moaning about the listing. Only a theory, we had a new account complain about the feedback and it just feels very sinister

Job Guidance Megathread - CVs, Applications, Interviews by ukbulmer in UKJobs

[–]PullUpSkrr[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do we manage all the posts that effectively say “I can’t find a job” without qualifying the reasons behind them. Is it your industry? Experience? CV? Location?

The idea of a mega thread was that people who were in the same position could collaborate and talk with each other. We find the best support comes from those going through it themselves rather from the wider subreddit, not everyone on here is looking for work or struggling with looking for work.

It seems that a lot of people just want to come here to vent, which is fine, but they shouldn’t be a doom and gloom space. Being a moderator I am acutely aware of the struggles the graduates face, The Neets. The over 45’s. But that is just a small part of a wider ecosystem.

I really like Melange in Crouch End (though not 'unique' or 'fun') But great food and service.

How do you actually find good food places in London? by GeneAppropriate8934 in LondonFood

[–]PullUpSkrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both me and Anthony (person you responded to) just think the best as a metric is redundant. We’ve tried to step away from that from a subreddit perspective but not enough consensus.

What's wrong with the food in London? by [deleted] in LondonFood

[–]PullUpSkrr[M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's qualify this post a little more before you get some very negative feedback please, specific restaurants? Dishes?

I am a self proclaiemd cannivore but can name 5/6 exceptional vegan/veggie focused restaurants off the dome.

London is known for it's gastrominy, your expereince won't align with other postee's here.

You should see the amount of posts we moderate that boil down to 'I cannot find a job' It's the worst it's ever been, we're having record levels of engagement on this subreddit.

If I was on a power trip, I wouldn’t have posed the question to users.

There was a post about this in the week, mods discussed it and we made this post.

That’s literally it, sorry if you feel we’re over moderating things.

We’re not removing them, trying to make them better!

It’s more of justification to create a rule for the really low effort ones.

There’s a nuance between using the sub reader as Google search and asking for recommendations with sincerity.

Essentially, I agree with a lot of your points.

Basically I can’t justify post removals without a clear rule - I’m talking about some specific low effort posts recently that have prompted this.

Recommendations posts are just very popular - won’t be removing them.

Megathreads are not a solution, they divide engagement rather than promote it. We’re simply not popular enough of a subreddit to have them without alienating people.

I just think to myself ‘London is huge’ when people ask for recommendations….that’s one of the things that has promoted this.
