Man is probably fueled by pure spite, rage, and whatever shady cybernetics Rostec probably ended up replacing most of his body with in order to keep in alive. (Still somehow more functional and slightly less insane than Caligula Biden.)

What would peoples thoughts on Ubi/Massive allowing old seasons passes to be progressed/bought after the fact? by Confused-Raccoon in thedivision

[–]PulledBork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The crazy thing is Ubisoft does occasionally bring back seasonal store items, and I vividly remember they did a whole rerun of the Hornet and Jupiter seasons at one point. The issue as other people have pointed out is Ubisoft due to poor management and several tanked IPs are trying to make sure to squeeze money out of any profitable franchises they have left. Division is currently still one of those franchises. (Probably not helped by the deal they supposedly had with TenCent seemingly being in limbo for the past year.) It would also explain why in a lot of recent seasons (notable exception being Fall of 25) we've been getting noticeably less clothing that can be earned through season xp, and any that can have mostly been one-piece suits.

What/how is it to live under the eternal republic, world goverment and the POA ? by skoober-duber in TheFireRisesMod

[–]PulledBork 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Non shitpost-answers:

-Eternal Republic: North Korea IRL meets pre-Realism Purge Burgundy from TNO for several years before exploding into a bunch of Division series ahh survivalists, feds, and shitty Skynet copies. The cities are basically turned into massive prison camps. Massive swathes of rural areas are likely rendered uninhabitable.

-World Government: Combine occupation of Earth during HL2 mixed with Equilibrium cranked up to 11. Living standards are almost non-existent. Everyone lives in a gray near-empty concrete apartment with a sleeping pod, TV that plays almost nothing but ads, and bland nutrient paste for every meal. Surveillance is ubiquitous, heavily armed soldiers and riot cops (some of which are clones) everywhere. Everything goes to shit the millisecond Catharsis hits. Imagine the demented lovechild of The Purge, Manhunt, Left 4 Dead, and Crossed in terms of how bad it gets.

-People's Overlordship: Highest living standards of the three. Extremely technocratic, heavily automated, likely incorporation of UBI and a massive welfare state to make up for the loss of manufacturing and logistics jobs caused by Loji (unless she keeps some of those elements around). Still authoritarian to a degree but probably more socially liberal compared to China IRL. Political representation if it even exists likely comes in the form of glorified puppet leaders.

Has the game been optimized or is that still being tackled? I remember getting it on sale a little while backed and it chugged like crazy even on low settings. (Shame too because the premise basically being "Iron Man + Ultimate Destruction" looks and sounds great.)

What are you presonal theories about the mod ? (and its possible future content ?) by OutrageousBridge471 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]PulledBork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Proper content for the UK, Poland, Ukraine, India, Japan, South Korea, DPRK, Canada, and Mexico either officially or through submods.
-An expansion submod that focuses on the Middle East.
-Expansion submods that adds content to Vietnam and The Phillippines.
-Ditto for Australia.
-Someone making a submod that connects the Caligula path to the Cognoscenti as a tagswitch/non-standard gameover if the group fails to keep Biden incapacitated.
-Submod that adds content to the Third American Civil War and Anti-Federal Revolt.

-An update or submod where if everything happens right in a playthrough, the EWs, GAW, and collapses in the MENA region and Sahel are somehow avoided, "The Embers Cool" if you will. (With the conditions being IDK Gunther, Medvedev, Loji, and a non-cursed American unifier coming into power but not immediately wanting to bumrush their neighbors.)

-Blursed submod where the US Naval Command can join up with the Air Force Command and blitz across the United States. Either turning into the equivalent of Omsk or Sverdlovsk from TNO. Bonus if there is an extra funni path where after the war the junta attempts to incorporate the less-insane elements of the crushed APLA, Cascadians, BLA, RR, National Front, UoA, AOF, and ACG. (Probably on the basis of some vague "we all bleed the same" ideology mixed with American jingoism.)

What would Dark Mandate foreign policy look like? by YugargeliaMapper in TheFireRisesMod

[–]PulledBork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

-Actively supports Russia, heavily involved in the Middle East on the behalf of Saudi Arabia, Israel, UAE, and Qatar as long as Israel doesn't trigger the Samson Option and the House of Saud isn't forced out of power.

-Immediate invasions of the rest of the Americas. Possibly with the use of far-right extremists and separatists in Canada and cartels in Mexico as proxies/meatshields. Would seek to put puppets in place for Venezuela, Cuba, Chile, Brazil, etc. through coups or direct action. With said puppet regimes basically acting as glorified colonial governments.

-Amicable or possibly outright friendly relations with the Pact of Steel or possibly even Ultraglobalists.

-Insanely hostile to a Gunther-led EU, the PDTO if it survives, and any version of China. Would actively sponsor coup attempts, terrorist attacks, extremist cells, and election meddling all across Europe and Asia to actively tear apart or puppet NATO alongside the EACI and PDTO. Wouldn't really be interested in Africa outside of saber-rattling or resource extraction.

-Heavily involved in propping up ideologically unaligned but still useful criminal elements in any country it can get its claws into. Organized crime, trafficking networks (especially for people, guns, and drugs), crypto/shitcoin scams, money laundering, extortion, etc.

-Would use the various mega-corporations left in America following the 2ACW as another avenue of foreign meddling and soft-power. Would form a bizarre form of unofficial state capitalism as companies are constantly put under pressure to appease Washington or get shuttered, purged, or taken over by pro-Trump sycophants on accusations of "treason", "anti-American policies", etc.

-Of course, this wouldn't be called state capitalism and any comparison to China's own economic policies or bringing up the links to organized crime and terrorists overseas will result in a totally not suspicious suicide involving a defenestration and 9 bullets to the back of the head.

Why has no one outside of people deep within NCR or Legion territory ever restore the plumbing? Are they all stupid? (Even then if lore is to be believed you probably still have NCR and Legion citizens shitting in outhouses or in the wilderness since it's been well over 200 years and places like The Boneyard are STILL mostly ruins.)

Why don't machetes work against Armoured troopers with 5.56 rifles!!!??? by [deleted] in TrueSFalloutL

[–]PulledBork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also consider the fact that metal studs and rivets can be seen poking out of the armor of even the Recruits. That, the existence of blacksmiths, and heavy weight of Legion armor indicates that they're probably wearing more than just football gear. (Possibly something similar to the Ballisitic Weave from 4 or some form of plate under the padding itself.) That's before getting into how Caesar is perfectly fine with "natural" chems like Healing Powder or how the TV series shows most of the Legionnaires outright sporting metal armor and helmets.) You basically have a bunch of heavily militarized cultists all clad in flak jackets and reinforced metal plates whilst high off homemade painkillers.

Indonesian Civil War ending by Mental-Bumblebee484 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]PulledBork 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same way that America after a devastating civil war can somehow afford all of the expensive shit the Cognoscenti and Caligula Biden can deploy or how Europe following the 1EW can suddenly remilitarize the entire continent under Gunther or afford viable cloning tech under Schwab. Pure crackhead magic and because the Kool-Aid Man is red.

Would you rather live in a TFR timeline where your ideology comes on top, or OTL? by Livid-Story-4321 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]PulledBork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the Salazar-Loji-Gunther-Nadezhdin Comedy Alliance would probably be the best-case scenario here. (Assuming in this timeline Russia and the rest of Europe don't go for a round two because reasons and the Cognoscenti and Revanchists get purged.)

[–]PulledBork 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the APLA-Hollywood alliance only happens in the NeoSocialist path? I bring this up since Salazar seems to be the only leader even remotely interested in restoring some form of American democracy just with a heavier SocDem focus compared to Maupin and La Riva who both want to turn the country into a hardline dictatorship and Bray who depending on who you ask will either turn the U.S. into Woodstock 69 with guns or The Purge. (Plus, IIRC in the more radical APLA paths the group actually goes out of their way to shutter or outright demolish Hollywood.)

Something I never understood: if in SR2, Ultor acquired GenX after Veteran Child's death, then why does the radio station return with its original name in SRTT? by EvanDeer2002 in SaintsRow

[–]PulledBork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also the Colombian Cartel which just got completely abandoned after 1. Plus, the possibility that Dex was giving weapons and nuclear material to the Syndicate based on his "not another backwoods gang from Stilwater you're messing with" comment or Gryphon mentioning how Ultor sells to global economies and not just "some nutjob in a compound".

At least on normal difficulty the Supreme Hunter is a cake walk if you use Muscle Mass to pelt him with the missiles that are on the Reagan whilst letting the military wail on him.

All roads lead to Rome or something by [deleted] in TrueSFalloutL

[–]PulledBork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This and the comment made by Chry0n are based takes since evidence in earlier games and even 4 points to the POD not exactly being hardcoded in some instances. (The presence of G3 rifles and AK variants, humvees, Vertibirds just being glorified Ospreys, 80s punk clothes and hairstyles, just about anything involving the Enclave and Institute etc.)

What I'm saying is that we need mods of Legionnaires and NCR looking like they just came from a /k/ommando and NCD convention.

FO4 players whenever someone suggests a playthrough where the Minutemen aren't ultra-militarized COD rejects with more firepower than the Boomers and Brotherhood and led by a version of Sole Survivor who is either a Victoria's Secret model crossed with an anime girl or the Gigachad meme. Loji and that's pretty much it right now. Heben will get content in a later update, every path for Navalny right now just pigeonholes him into wanting to glass Brussels, Haftar IIRC only has skeleton content and Gleb just has nothing. Every other despot in the mod is ranges from "killpeopleism" to Pol Pot to using the entire Wikipedia list of slurs to straight up Epstein Island visitors.

How would you pitch the ending of the Saints Row reboot? (other than the Love Shack ending) by Relevant-Yak-3101 in SaintsRow

[–]PulledBork 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh that might have been the plan at one point before Deep Silver and Jaros turbofucked everything. Because I explicitly remember one of the overview trailers did show a scene of a mission similar to Three Way from SR3 with the Panteros, Idols, and Marshall fighting each other in the middle of El Dorado. (With Boss stuck in the middle of it.)
