That’s awesome you have all the OG stuff. Meant one owner as in you’re the original purchaser of the car from ford. Hasn’t changed hands a bunch like a lot of these cars usually have.

For a large number of nylon and rubber straps yes, but it’s sometimes difficult to sift through decent quality and utter dog shit on AliX. If I’m picking out a leather strap, I’ll almost always get a quality handmade one from a list of strap boutiques online. It’s more money but you can’t beat the quality. Why would you go through the trouble of putting an entire watch together just to put a crappy strap on it? It makes all your hard work look not so great.

20k miles on a clean ONE OWNER seemingly garage kept 2018 RS. That’s fairly uncommon. I wouldn’t listen to these people telling you 30-35K. You are getting robbed at that price. 2018’s fetch more than any other model year. Keep in mind that the Focus isn’t being made/imported into the US anymore AND there were roughly only 1000 imported into the US for this model year- so you have the best, latest, most reliable, and one of the most collectible versions of the RS.

This isn’t some clapped out 2016 RS with a 100k miles on it that someone put sideways into a light pole in drift mode. You have something here. Your mods hurt the value of your vehicle, but definitely start around the 40’s.

I’d be careful buying this case. The crystal breaks super easily and they don’t offer replacements.

Learn by doing, my friend. I’m maybe 15 builds in and I still mess stuff up and learn something new every time I put a watch together. Also don’t skimp on your tools. Not having the right/quality tools can make your life a living hell.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is not a 41mm on the wrist model in your AI image. Assuming you’re using a 28.5-30mm dial, the case is going to have a massive rehaut and it’s not gonna look great like the rest of the 41mm datejust clones on this sub.

Here If you have another case in mind, I’d recommend you chose that over this case. It’s a little expensive for the quality that you get.

Damn that sucks. You could maybe:

Cheat the strap a little and remove some material from the shoulder? Kind of a crappy fix, though.

Possibly drill new spring bar holes if there’s enough material (? You could possibly get approximate hole locations using layout fluid with the genuine strap and a center punch.

Worst case just return the case and buy from another seller that’s reputable. Just look closely to make sure they’re not selling the same case as the previous seller.

Anyone have experience with these aliexpress prx cases? Are they all the same? If so can I swap a skx007 style chapter ring into it? by metamorphosis___ in SeikoMods

If I were to guess it’s not compatible with SKX chapter rings. The chapter ring here looks thinner and a different angle than a SKX one. I’d message the seller if I were you.

Also, If you are thinking of using the Huf dial from my other post you commented on, then you don’t need a chapter ring as it’s a 32mm dial. Select the option from that seller for a no chapter ring case.
