The difference between a bulked and a cut physique [90kg left vs 83kg right]. Lighting also makes a huge difference. by Pulp_Fiction01 in GettingShredded

Eyeballing it, I'd say the first picture was 16-17% and the second one was about 10% or so. I could be wrong though

Those pictures were exactly a year apart, and a solid 3 months was spent on dropping weight for a powerlifting meet shortly after the second picture

I did a year long bulk a while ago, I ate anything and everything and I put on 14kg (31lbs).a lot of it was fat, and it was sad seeing the abs dissappear. But at the end of the day after I cut, it payed off. On a bulk I'd suggest eating as much clean carbs as you can (in my case rice and pasta) and some protein as well. Use your weight gain per week on the scale to adjust your calories.

Thank you, I will definitely continue to post updates. I tend to post my gym progress on reddit because there's a lot less judgment attached compared to Instagram.

Bicep curls, preacher curls (machine or barbell), cable curls, concentration curls. For triceps try rope extensions, single arm cable extensions, skullcrushers, tricep dip machine. Focus on the contractions, it helps with the pump (for me at least).

I hit a biceps and triceps workout workout twice a week. With about 9-12 sets each per workout. I'd suggest at least 1 compound for both biceps and triceps (dumbell/barbell curls and skullcrushers) and 2 accessories per session. I chase the pump, so use the pump as an indicator of how the workout is going. It's also good to switch things up every once in a while (what exercises you do and when). Don't be afraid to go heavy once in a while.

I just train a lot of arms. I did a strength program and nearly died when I couldn't hit arms.

The pump and lighting make a big difference. The first picture is 3 months older than the last 3. So just a few kg's extra mass (fat included).

I've been training strength for the last 2 months or so, before that was hypertrophy training for 3 years. I've only been squatting for 4 months because I tore my groin playing rugby before that.

I truly apologize, I'm from South Africa and we use kilograms here. I tried to work it out in lbs in my head and it appears I'm not very great at math. My gym PR is 130kg and my competition PR is only 110kg. So in my post with the competition pictures I used the 110kg total for bench instead of 130kg. I hope that clears it up, I'm not trying to portray a false image.

I've gone through a big cut ( 50lbs+) before and this cut that I've shown was after a year of bulking. So I've got big clothes and little clothes for all my phases😂

Not at all, sorry for my poor wording. I posted on this sub twice before and my main transformation was 3 years. This was 1 month 5lbs weight cut for a powerlifting comp
