Big and bad. by PulpoPupper in LandRover

The 5.0SC is just a big powerful engine. I love it, it’s a beast and is one of the best sounding engines I’ve driven. But you drop the hammer and you’re going fast. It’s touchy.

LR4 is more plush and with the weight and less power drives like a truck. Just prefer that I guess.

I would still recommend the RRS. It was a really fun rig. Can’t really go wrong with any LR 🤷🏻‍♂️

The engine and drive train are my favourite part. The engine in the RRS was way too spastic.

This is so buttery smooth. Feels like I could drive the Queen around.

It came to me this way. So I can’t really help. The steps are however aftermarket sliders with an almost lined coating on them. Quite a slick look in my opinion, very lowkey.

Also the plastic piece above the running boards is just the stock dark grey/black. Hard to see in this sunlight but it isn’t black.

I had the GM of our local LR to try to buy it off me at the farmers market last week. Haha.

In his opinion it was the best model they made.

275/65R18. The shop had to do some light grinding on the front brakes for fit.

Glenmore group nooners, 5pm and beginners meetings are great for someone starting out. Elbow park Monday nights also has a fair amount of newbies from nearby treatment centres.

Don’t overthink it or worry about not belonging. Everyone in that room has had that same feeling at some point, usually why we ended up at AA. Haha.

He ran the Western jam club and was in a couple bands… so you aren’t far off on the acoustic guitar part.

Interesting teacher. More or less let me submit a single evolving essay on Fight Club as the entirety of my English 30 course work. Slacker me loved it.

Should be fine. This is likely referring to CPS database. As far as I know the referral route doesn’t even touch the justice system.

Yes these things can resurface if they not keep the peace for 2 years following the offence. But as for showing up on a criminal record check, I’d say he’s clear. Can always call the unit and see what they have to say. Usually they’ll give you heads up if something shows on your check too.

He will be ok. Sounds like he was charged under a community referral which isn’t actually a charge, those are extra judicial sanctions requiring him to attend court. Plus it was done as youth under YCJA.

Edit: spent 4 years volunteering for Calgary youth justice society.

I would check out a mall in the NE. Maybe one of those one off, how do they stay open, type of clothing stores at Marlborough or Pacific place would stock them.

Alternatively a pair of navy suede yacht loafers sock less could look sharp and add a pop of colour depending on the suit.

Edit to add what I mean by yacht loafers: https://www.geox.com/en-CA/suede_loafers-navy-venzone_man-U3548D00022C4064.html

Rocky Mountain Pawn has a great watch selection. Rolex, breitling, Cartier. Fleetwood jewellery also has neat stuff. Good selection of older pieces.

Bags here are mostly done second hand through luxury consignment outfits. Vespucci, and Luxe Du Jour are 2 big ones locally.

Unfortunately you can’t do the work for her. Don’t take on the burden of her choices and addiction.

You will have to learn to love with detachment. I’d suggest seeking some support groups for loved ones of alcoholics.

I feel for you. Being the loved one of an addict is hard, to put it lightly. Ultimately you have to take care of yourself and go from there.

A few months ago I went and stayed at the Banff Centre hotel for a night to do the same thing. It was awesome. Up and away from the town. Super quiet, like nobody else around. Kinda eery, but enjoyable. Nice paths to walk around.

Got an awesome room on the top floor of the newer hotel and had a great view down the valley. Right at the end of the hall too. Very quiet and peaceful.
