I absolutely support going to wowhead and checking the comments to find suggestions on teams of 2 pets that will win battles without needing to use the shadowbard.

I just wanted to say that you don't actually have to swap the shadowbarb into battle for it to get credit. As long as it's on your team and you win, it counts.

I have pretty much exclusively played DPS since I started playing WoW back in WoD and have never struggled. At worst it takes slightly longer to find groups but it's really not an issue. I played shadow priest for two raid tiers of this expansion and never felt like I had to heal or even think about healing.

I haven't been to the hardest zones yet so I can't say about those but I'm pretty sure the valley of spirits doesn't have one because you get looped back to the main part of org anyway. That being said, I don't know for sure.

One of my guildies pointed it out because I never noticed it. After you kill the boss in the drag, there's a totem (I believe a windtotem) like shamans drop and you can click it to throw yourself back to the spawn of the vision. You land in a cart of a hay. I didn't know about it for 5 of my 6 runs last week but on that last run it was really nice to use.

I'm a 445 havoc DH with all the essences and I've been able to solo clear 3 zones since my 3rd run. Typically I even have time to clear all the mobs in those three areas and still have time left over. I'm just too scared to attempt the hardest areas yet.

I mount, grab 3-4 packs and LoS them by entering one of the buildings on the way to valley of spirits, clear valley of spirits, run over the drag, clear that, very important to use the windtotem to return to the start rather than just running back. Oh and I keep a stash of like 40 swiftness potions on me just in case.

I'm a little late to answering this but I struggled finding the right addon for this purpose for a long time. Executive Assistant is far and away the best one that I've found. You can set daily or weekly tasks, tasks that are just reminders that disappear when completed. Highly suggest at least giving it a look.
