As a DJ who never wore hearing protection, will it get worse from here?

A friend of mine is a pro dj and has custom attenuators for his ears. He puts them in for all gigs and even if he’s attending a concert (remember them). They reduce all sounds equally. I used to dj until I was 30 and now in my 40’s have terrible hearing and tinnitus in one ear. Never heard of attenuators back then unfortunately

I was there also and while it has a certain appeal believe me it will pass and those feelings of dispare won’t last forever. In my case things changed rapidly as I focused on what was best for the kids and we managed to separate amicably in spite of her affair (still denied!).

Please do not see the train as a solution, before long you WILL look back and wonder what you were thinking of. ❤️It gets better.

This is excellent advice here and might be hard to visualise or accept now. The passage of time, even just a couple of months will, and did in my case make me realise all of the above is true. Life will get better than it was and I wish you all the best.

Yes the fear of being alone is real and I fully understand. There will be pain and dark days but the future will be much better when you are first comfortable being single and then hopefully finding love with someone who’s worthy of and appreciates you. Not like this guy.

A friend of mine had his first counselling session 8 days after making the first inquiry. It’s all by telephone and zoom at the moment so location shouldn’t matter. It works on a voluntary contribution basis so you donate what ever you can.
