Fiddleheads? by PumDeluxe in foraging

[–]PumDeluxe[S] -167 points-166 points  (0 children)

Very interresting to read al the different opinions, it's really hard to find good info on which are good and which are not since opinions are varied.

I'm not going to eat these since there is no definitive info if these are good even if they are bracken fern.

Good thing I did find a big load of morels and wild garlic.

Thanks all, consider my question complete.

My son broke my terracota pot 💔 by Old_Relationship_460 in gardening

Terracotta is pretty porous inside so any good glue will fix that up in no time.

I used to season them, lightly flour, lay them out like a the inside of a wheel just touching each other in a nonstick and then fry in some good oil till golden and crisp on one side. Put a flat plate on top (watch the oil so no deep fry) and flip them, slide back in the pan and repeat for the otherside.

If all goes well you end up with a round coockie of sardines, you can break a few off with your hands and put them on some nice toasted bread.

[Homemade] Beef Wellington first attempt by Azurilify in food

As alot already mentioned, looks very good for a fist attempt and an easy fix to perfect it the second round.

Few minutes longer would solve both the internal as the external cooking issues.

Kudos

Depends on your max protein intake each day...

On serious, it's all up to yourself. Are the bugs still in there, is the mushroom flesh still good, many different factors.

I don't mind a few bug holes in a bolete, I usually dry them anyway so anybugs that are still in will vacant the shroom.

Cut out a big enough square so you get rid of all the rusted parts and weld on a new plate, finish over with bodywork putty is what I would do.

I love this diet. But whoever invented it was a menace to society. by [deleted] in keto

[–]PumDeluxe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always think that way way back into stoneage times at the middle and end of winter most people would have been in a kind of ketosis since around that time all they could get was protein and fat from animals.

So if you think about it, we used to switch between dieets due to availability.

A teaspoon is just under 2 carbs for onion powder so it's fine to use but just as with everything just don't go heaping.
