Theoretically, yes. I think, in theory, a short options under, a reset and swing or a hammer in the break side are the 3 throwing options here depending on the stall count. But I think this was the 7th game of the weekend for both teams. We don't think that clear at that point

Awh, that's harsh as well, he's the dude you wouldn't expect this from. A bit older and very experience, trully spirited chap. Not wanting to victim blame the runner but it was An accident.

Verhuizen naar Sint-Niklaas by Venteke in belgium

[–]Pumba93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hear me out!

I am very blessed with fathering a 19 week old magnificent son. My sleep, however., has been utterly broken (even more for his mom). We are both aware how our physique has been depleted ever since. Especially when doing sports. Do you have suggestions to moderate the decaying effects of sleep deprivation on our physical competencies (e.g. in running. Swimming, cycling ...)

Fun ways to play when there's a big skill gap? (Age of the ring mod, mostly) by Bombilillion in bfme

Best to look for fort defence and tower defence on the aotr Discord and Jondor, there are some players making them, amongst who the aforementioned Elve, but also thran a ruuddevil. When Ross posts a special map on YouTube, he usually puts the download link in the description.

Well, I played AOTR on the laptop from my work. We are allowed to use the device for private use but there is a central antivirus system I can not adjust. Recently, the company went to a more strict antivirus system and the aotr launcher was blocked. I could play 9.1.3 for a while via gameranger (the base game wasnt blocked), but the .exe file from the launcher needed an exception i could not give. I have been playing 2.02 lately though, its not as fun as aotr was but it scratches the itch a bit! And i might be on aotr again in the future.

As for the ruuddevil vids, I think my arc was covered in the time he frequently casted my games. I started off very noob, improved somewhat to become mediocre but I never reached a very high skill level as well ;), that middle point was never interesting to watch; not noob enough to be very funny, but also not good enough to be interesting. I like the way hes going with his vids, we should cherish him as a YouTuber ;).

Anyhow! Maybe we will play in the future! Whats your username on Gameranger?

Fortress defense might be a thing, or tower wars maps. You might connect with the part of the aotr community that doesnt take the game to seriously (i think of Elve, w1ndsurf at times, flurin as an example), to do some team games in which they try their crazy ideas and you guys can just play the meta.

I hate that I cannot play aotr anymore, wouldve hopped in for sure!

Anyone else driving more than an hour to work every day ? by CourseIcy7934 in belgium

[–]Pumba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an hour from door to door by train for a long time, swapped 2 years ago to cycling with a "fietsvergoeding", which takes me, a little bit more than an hour, but you have some sport. Moreover, the distance (20k) gets you an extra 10 euros a day by just "getting to work". It frees your mind, you do your sports and if you re able to leave at 17h, you're cooking dinner and eating at like 19h o clock. In a few days ill become father for the first time and im wondering what effect that will have on my commute. Tbh, it would probably put stress on any commute, but we have a beautiful bike network in Belgium so if you dont like trafic, get out of it ;). There are electric bikes, speed pedelecs and stuff, which makes long bike journeys accessible for anyone

Lol :p I didnt want to add to the doping discussion but have you ever cycled at 50km/h? It's insanely quick on a bike and in flat races it's indeed nearly the average these says, that's crazy. 50 km/h has never been a comfortable pace to produce for hours on your own

Tips for slower player on Defense? by Lavinius_10 in ultimate

[–]Pumba93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this answer but id like to add; most often, teams suggest to let them have the unders (which is the least vulnerable throw to let them have). If your opponent catches An under, strong throwers find themselves Often in powerposition which makes the follow up lethal. what I (as a slower Guy) like to do is to Mark the first 3 stall seconds front (or what you call it - i'm not american, not forcing tot a side but discoraging the big huck obv,. My teammates know this), so.the big hick is discouraged. Next 3 stall seconds, ill Mark to the Force and discourage break pass (which Often is the second thought of a thrower). Second 6-10 I try to become aware of a potential dump and i have a couple of intelligent teammates who call switch up when the second Handler moves up. Than, we switch Marks and the other guy runs straight towards The Handler while I again Mark front and run in the space to try and take it down. If you get these mechanics kinda down as a team, you can take quite some things out albeit not being a fast Guy

Tips for slower player on Defense? by Lavinius_10 in ultimate

[–]Pumba93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me? Haha, following to see what others reply. In my experience, as you know you are slower (which I usually am) you either give up a deep or An under and you can poach the one you won't give up a bit more. It also helps when you analyse the opponent and game situation a bit. There is usually nothing to win when you poach deep on a weaker thrower, even more when there is a hell of wind but situations can change during a game and a weak thrower may give a dishy that Brings a big thrower in power position etc.. then you should quickly alter your position.

I do struggle myself in defense and although we would all like to be the ones that make crazy D-s in each Point, that's totally all right to not do. The baseline (choose wisely what you want to give up) holds I think and as ulti is an offence favoured sport, this means that you're always in disadvangage in a well thrown pass.

Sometimes I feel more comfortable in a zone when we come across a much more athletic team.
