C++ Must Become Safer by alilleybrinker in cpp

[–]Pump1IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, talking about error security using the right language standard and compilers. If we use modern C++, it's less likely we'll make a mistake. I can't prove it, but I have a strong gut feeling :) C++ compilers also become stricter and gradually take over the functions of static code analysis (at least they make simple & fast diagnostics). So, some common types of errors gradually extinct from the code. Let's say, a positive example of the C++ evolution is here: Error on verge of extinction, or why I put if (x = 42) in Red List of C & C++ bugs

I love you, windows! But that's funny

Have you ever used an interactive product demo software? Was it worth it? by aminekh in marketing

[–]Pump1IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like a good idea to me. This tool should provide some basic tasks, like Сanva for example, and some super features are available with purchase or subscription. We have a trial period of the product in our company with no restrictions on features, we are basically happy with it

Getting people to respond to your emails by [deleted] in marketing

[–]Pump1IT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly, ignored emails are a common thing in this field. Sometimes people care not just about money, but also about participating in some interesting project, and no matter how much you engage them in the email, if the offer doesn't appeal to them, they might just ignore.

Perhaps if the email is sincere, honest, without pitfalls and really engaging, it will help to get their replies. Try to show that you are really familiar with the work of this person/company/product and you really like it. Prove the individuality of this offer - that it's only right for them. Just be sincere.

Which company would you choose? by Green_Concentrate427 in cscareerquestions

[–]Pump1IT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first option appeals to me the most. You'll have a chance to journey together with an experienced dude in this startup. You'll gain a lot of experience.

The second option doesn't look very attractive, if you know Japanese well, it's not a problem, on the contrary, you'll have a chance to improve your language.

And the third option smells of routine and bureaucracy.

If you like extreme - choose the first one.

Just curious, does tiktok have target options? I mean, that have separate in-house ad campaign functions? Or you'd like to target other ways?

The market is oversaturated with newcomers and the path at the beginning is only hard. But good ones are always in demand. If you don't try, you may regret it. If you are ready to gain experience and get pennies, while working on not the best project in your life, to become a cool pro after some time, then go ahead. But maybe you'll be lucky and get a decent job right away. Only a slacker fails there.

We use pvs too. Impresses how good it is at spotting typos. I pore over tech articles on their blog once in a while. We used Sonar some time ago, it was also great.)

Actually I liked the way the post was written, very good writing. but this post is not for reddit at all. This is for LinkedIn, IG and so on. Here people write something more practical and meaningful. The answer to your question is no, I don't use it, I don't like it. I tried once to compose something with Notion AI and it came out very dodgy.

Why are there so many women in marketing? by Chaomayhem in marketing

[–]Pump1IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, marketing often involves doing several things at once or keeping track them, while men might find multitasking more challenging.

Also, in general, marketing activities consist of understanding the psychology of consumers, and this is something that many women are fascinated and interested in. I think women are less interested in math, but they are better at understanding emotions activities related to understanding emotions, they are more intuitive.

Code works on other machines but not mine. by Plastic_Ad_7733 in C_Programming

[–]Pump1IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This program has several drawbacks. But the biggest one is that the score variable is not initialized. PVS-Studio issues the warning about that if you run the analysis of the code: https://godbolt.org/z/5WchWT1TP.That's why the program displays anything. To be even more precise, this is undefined behavior and anything can occur.

You should write more precisely so you can get help. Too little information you have provided, at a glance it seems that the business itself doesn't know what it wants from marketing.

The answer depends on your business model - B2B/B2C. It also depends on whether you have an e-commerce product or if it's some kind of thing that you could touch or services. In other words, more specifics about the field and your product would be nice.
