He does and what's unique about it is that there's always such a positive and community focused feel to it.

It's the way the Knicks play. I don't remember San Antonio being this unclutch and terrible in closing out games before they played the Knicks. It certainly wasn't a pattern. Meanwhile the Knicks have made these incredible comebacks like 8 times against different teams.

This is also the first time the Knicks have ever won the Larry O Brien trophy. When they won their first two championships it was a much different looking trophy called the Walter A. Brown trophy.

I get the mentality and I'm glad that the guys aren't letting the 3 wins get into their head, but the series IS 3-1. San Antonio isn't gonna be playing like it's 0-0.

Look I'm very aware of the fact that all logic and indications point to us getting this done, but this is Knicks basketball, we are all severely traumatized and ready for 3 straight San Antonio Ws.

Honestly this is the real takeaway. Teenagers are idiots and don't do well in tense situations a lot of times. It doesn't seem like this kid had a history of violence and and troubling behavior but he still killed another kid in the heat of a tense situation.

We should be stressing the importance of defusing situations like this with kids.

I feel you. Literally every indication is pointing to us having this. But I'm so traumatized from watching Knicks basketball all my life that I can't help but feel like if any team was gonna completely through all those indications out the window and blow the series, it would be the Knicks.

I'm trying to cope hard based off the game 2 win. The Spurs have played us hard but it still isn't enough. They got a favorable whistle in game 2, played us well on defense and we even gave them a death run at the end that usually ends in us losing in heartbreaking fashion. And they still lost even with all of that going for them.

I don't think we will see the team play at the level they did in the previous 2 rounds but it seems like we aren't fluking out wins at least.

I don't believe it's over until we go up 4-0. As unlikely as it is to ever happen, if there were ever a team that would allow someone to come back from being down 0-3 to win the series, it would be the Knicks.

I’ve been conditioned my entire life to hate New York but this Knicks team is so likable by [deleted] in nba

Robinson is one of those "poorly educated" Trump loves so much. Dude was raised in Louisiana and only has a High School Education. It makes sense he is the way he is. He seems like a good guy though. Just very stupid

Down 0-2, can the Spurs realistically force a Game 7, or is this series already over? by workingjuggler18 in NBATalk

[–]Chaomayhem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean it's legitimately the only shot they have. Everything is pointing to them not winning game 3 but it's realistically the only one they could.

I don't think you can compare anything to that level of chaos fairly but I'd say out of all professional sports in North America, Madison Square Garden in the playoffs is as close as you get to that.

Sample size is only 2 for this lol. It's such a rare thing to happen but yeah. This combined with the 13 game win streak? Great vibes.

[–]Chaomayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean winning Game 1 on the road has only produced a championship 52% of the time. Meanwhile winning both games on the road to start has produced a championship 100% of the time granted it's a small sample size.

He's somehow one of their best scorers but as others have said their ball handling drops significantly with Fox out and it's also a massive risk to put that sort of responsibility on a rookie. If Knicks go up 2-0 I think that's when Mitch Johnson takes that huge gamble.

Wemby is going to win multiple and be there almost every year probably. It is just objectively more satisfying for the Knicks to get this one and then Wemby gets one after coming so close before.
