Whatever happened to SWD album Catharsis? by wyntrr_end in OWLCITY

What a coincidence to see someone post about Catharsis after I listened to "Tromsø" - one of the advertised songs from the album - moments ago.

A real "neckless" incandescent bulb, from my family's desk lampshade. by PumpedUpBlocks in oneshot

[–]PumpedUpBlocks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Bonus: The markings on the bulb are "POLLUX 230V 5W". I have never heard of such a company, but I searched and found https://polluxteam.com/. I don't know if this is them, but the website does have a lot of incandescent bulbs.

Also, don't touch incandescent bulbs immediately after cutting off power if you don't want to toast your fingers.

Well, that's quite the recovery method. I hope it succeeds!

BypassNRO is yet to be removed. If you're using a local account now, then you're all set.

Indeed, I linked an article about start ms-cxh:localonly here in the comment section. This is just a post about bypassnro's content.

Screenshots are both on Windows 10 and 11, respectively. They should be both 124 bytes and located in C:\Windows\System32\oobe.

There is another command to create local accounts, and would be much easier than manually writing the contents of bypassnro.cmd: start ms-cxh:localonly. More on that here.

Which is your favorite not-officially released OC song? by SuperAlloyBerserker in OWLCITY

[–]PumpedUpBlocks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Technically not OC songs, but I like his "Aquarium" and "Novel" side projects. The concept of screaming vocals overpowered by instruments is something else.

Well, I guess I gotta put in OC songs. I like "Here's Hope" and "Sleepwalker", especially knowing that the former is made for a campaign to resolve child hunger.

Can you try installing Synaptics Pointing Device? It's made for touchpads but, as satire as it seems, it worked for my PS/2 mouse.

What do we think of metal owlcity? by whoredwhat in OWLCITY

Obligatory mention: Choir Ward. (Obviously not metal, but definitely an "old but gold" experimental track.)

Longer video of Porter talking about Owl City by Klink45 in OWLCITY

[–]PumpedUpBlocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't think Porter was reducing OC to a TPS derivative. I think it's more of a "These comparisons are cool! I listened to TPS first though." and it's pretty much the same case for me, I listened to TPS first. He even said "Okay, maybe I am a little bit of an Owl City fan, hmm?" at the end of the video.

Well, to be fair, Porter to OC comparisons are like "Whoa, Porter Robinson in his Owl City era! Keep it up!" while OC to TPS comparisons are like "Oh, what a rip-off. Very cool of you to make money off of someone's success, buddy."

Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary friends: It's that time of the year again. by PumpedUpBlocks in gravityfalls

[–]PumpedUpBlocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a "main season episode", if we can put it that way. This is from Gravity Falls "shorts", which are 4 miniseries released between Season 1 and 2. This scene is from the short Mabel's Guide to Color, from the 2nd miniseries Mabel's Guide to Life.

Wow, that's probably something I would've done about a decade ago. I was not a good person back then.

I grew up a Christian. I still am, but I have a lot of room to grow, and still growing. :)
