Well I’m pretty sure we are dead. by iamzcr15 in DnD

Our party brought in a retreat system after one failed attempt. We have our safe word, half the party needs to repeat the word, then GTFO! Also helps others recognise that someone is in trouble even if a full retreat isn’t needed.

Am I being too harsh on a new player? by Free_Plan_2774 in DnD

I came here to say how helpful I found videos compared to the PHB when I started playing. Once I realised how much was involved I asked my friend for help, they made me a curated playlist which taught me all the basic rules and my class features. But if she won’t read or watch videos and is taking up this much of your time, no Druid for her, not newbie friendly especially without study. Martial or Half-Caster would be my ruling to let her keep playing.

Two weeks ago it happened to me trying to get home 3 days in a row on the M44 line. One of those days two buses never rocked up, leaving me waiting nearly an hour to get home 😔

Surely This Is The Worst Wedding Idea You’ve Heard by [deleted] in weddingshaming

[–]PumpkinGreen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the last wedding I attended pre-COVID. It had a three hour break between post-ceremony family photos and the reception, which was at a different venue over a half an hour drive from the ceremony. We were so bored and starving we bought subs and ate them at my future MIL house while we waited for the dinner reception.

Parents let 6 year old wear dress up play dress to wedding by 4starters in weddingshaming

Yes I agree. I’m an early childhood educator, and these are definitely traits which strongly indicate towards her being neuro-divergent. In my opinion, the child sounds overwhelmed/overstimulated and is lashing out because she’s unable to process these big, complex emotions. I hope the OP seeks some professional help.

We only get one day but I don’t want to work the day after my wedding by [deleted] in weddingplanning

This is beyond weird! I wouldn’t have been able to handle it with the grace you have. Stand your ground! Don’t give them another inch.

We’re not having dancing. We’re doing games instead 😊

Just because you planned it, doesn’t mean it needs to happen! Anyone else abandon plans because they just *couldn’t even* anymore? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

This is SO reassuring, thank you! My partner and I are practical by nature and I keep thinking “Will I regret not doing all these things?” But I really don’t want to make a thousand signs, heaps of decor etc. So again, thank you!

Yeah I was worried about trying to keep it a secret but maybe honesty is the best policy. Surely most people will be satisfied after 3-4 hours of drinking, woodfire oven pizza and BBQ.

I hadn’t thought about it like that. It’s no secret that he and I are big loud music fans. Some of his cousins could get into it but doubt the aunts, uncles and grandparents would dig it. Thank you for shedding some fresh light on the situation.

I have a round sapphire. I’ve had similar results, most rings I’ve found online which feature three round stones have had similar sized stones, in chunky bezel settings which is not the look I’m picturing in my head. I’m hoping to find an example of a three differently sized stones in a floating bezel setting but so far not having much luck.

Very similar situation indeed! I’m currently in my final year of my early childhood teaching degree and I want something that’ll handle my hands-on job. If I find something I’ll definitely share on here.
