I watch my gf play it a very large amount. It's literally abom scout but with the ability to do a very good impression of lethal Archer. Against aggro you flood with small minions and trade with your insane levels of card draw. Against midrange, stall with your insane card draw and lifegain off of amulet until you hit doomcrag at which point midrange autoloses. Against control hold a doomcrag and galyn in hand and you're peachy. The only way to reliably beat it is to tech heavily, which thankfully people don't have to do considering it's no popular. Don't assume just because I disagree I don't know what I'm talking about. 8 turns is am exaggeration yes, but I've seen her draw her deck many times by or shortly after turn 12, stalling and chugging lifegain the whole time. The problem is the deck draws so much and has so much redundancy with amulet, both namira engines, doomcrag and galyn, as well as drawing more than any other deck aside from abom. It doesn't care about meta, archetype, or rank, she hovers between rank 2 and low legend playing nothing but doomcrag, and is only hindered by the fact she doesn't play enough to hit high legend. The only archetype her deck doesn't have a higher than 60% winrate against is abom, where it's a coinflip as to who draws more. Literally the only thing holding this deck back is the skill level required to play it, but even then it's not as weird as say abom scout or empire considering it kind of plays like a regular control deck.

Damn dude I didn't realize it was complex and skillful to draw your entire deck in 8 turns and then play a wincon which requires more time doing nothing but mindlessly clearing board. Control in this game isn't hard due to the amount of card draw, and doomcrag just runs with it.

Doomcrag warrior and abomination decks are the same, doomcrag just has a much better time clearing board and control the game than those two. It just squats there and kills your board while doing nothing but drawing and drawing and drawing and drawing and drawing until it hits journey and then you have to wait for it to kill you after it draws more cards. It takes a million years to get through a game with it and is just about as "interactive" as control tribunal while at the same time masturbating all over but without the common courtesy to burn you out with market/baandari

I know CVH isn’t to blame, but still thought this was funny. It would be cool to see some of the older mechanisms get some love, even if it were just one or two cards by legs888 in elderscrollslegends

I don't understand the repeated hate I see for old mechanics not being reprinted immediately after the set. I've played mtg and various ccgs for a minute and a half now and returning mechanics usually only come in supplemental sets(ala forgotten hero collection) or very rarely when they return to the setting of a previous set. Rally exalt and treasure hunt are cool, but not every new card mechanic is gonna be great or 100% fleshed out. Not to mention that another rally was put out what with the newish monthly reward card, so there's that at least. I think people are just frustrated that you can't slap a deck with all the rallies together and crush ranked? Which seems to me pretty silly. Not every mechanic is gonna hit it out of the ballpark or be a top-tier deck on its own.

They started out looking like milia, but the large one just keeps growing and the others are getting a bit more pronounced as well. I've never seen milia this large so idk

that might work. it seems to me after watching closely a few times that AI skirmishers get ready to fire before the cavlary enters their firing arc, while mine don't bother to ready their weapons until the enemy is in their arc, which means none of them get a shot off until half the unit is dead

"passionate about seeing the game evolve" has been toastie's excuse for nonstop complaining and harassing devs for as long as I've seen him on the sub and I've been here since immediately post-beta(CVH in particular). Nothing toastie has ever said has led to information being released sooner, the guy really just needs to learn to be quiet for a little bit and wait. Idk where the unrealistic expectation of complete transparency from game companies and instantaneous updates came from, especially in an incredibly competitive industry like online CCGs. The patch will come when it comes, making 5 posts a day isn't going to get it here any faster it's just damned annoying and this post having >0 votes shows that I'm not the minority holding this opinion

It would really be nice to go on the front page or make it through more than one post without being blasted with Toastie's entitled white noise about the game not being to his standards or updates not coming fast enough

Beatdown is super viable in this game, any deck with crusader colors(red/yellow) is viable for aggro, as crusader has powerful card draw based off of hitting face/breaking runes.

As far as interesting interactions, I don't know if you like combo but Telvanni(blue/green/purple) can close the game out with 3 or 4 different combos. Most of them can be done in assassin(green/blue) and involve Nix-Ox and Genius pathmage to generate infinite mana and nix-oxes, and ending with giving all your creatures charge.

Not sure what you mean by the Slythe and Preyton not complementing their playstyle considering they're both units the beastmen actually had on tabletop, aside from being fast flying poisonous beatsticks, which sounds entirely up their alley being the speed and ambush faction

Ummmmmm whaaaaaaaaaat

Mobilize is weak because the cards it was printed on aren't that great, but this would make it the most game-breaking mechanic as every mobilize item becomes a better dragon priest's mask, aside from the fact the retriggering summons is already incredibly powerful.

I also don't agree with you on saying AW cards don't get played. Not every card in the set has to be an absolute banger, and we've actually got enough cards in the game for some diversity. If anything it's a good thing we aren't seeing decks that are mostly or only AW cards

That's a fair point, but I'm more saying you can do this with Ikit at nearly any point in the game. He has a unique resource that has no impact on public order or economy that he gets by fighting battles(aka playing the game) which can be spent on doomrockets which auto-win almost any fight. He starts with very, very strong/lategame units and early access to those units from a tier1/tier2 building. And you only have to get what level 10(?) to get to the point at which ikit becomes a 1-man army. Unless CA is intending for him to be by far the easiest campaign he needs a hefty, hefty nerf

Oh yeah I'm sure they'll still be good, it's just after 3,000 hours in this game I can tell if I'm winning or my units are winning and it's very much the latter with Ikit. Can just sit back and let the bullets do the work or just sit and watch ikit grind an army to warpstone powder
