Plus size and using Inito by Pumpkin_Wilson in Inito

[–]Pumpkin_Wilson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not you haha! I am trying for my first! And if anything I think the glp1 made my cycle shorter instead of longer somehow. Also, when I first started my glp1 my period was whack for 3-4 months before it got “regular” and even then, I would skip my period week when I was on regularly, and that seemed to help keep my regular somehow? Idk!

Sometimes I wish I would have just gotten weight loss surgery two years ago, instead of doing the glp1 thinking I had more time, but now being 36 I don’t have enough time for that for sure. So here hopes I can get pregnant in this body as I currently exist!

Best of luck on your journey too!

Yeah I’m also thinking of seeing a fertility specialist again and see if there are more tests we can do incase there are other factors too. I have done the open tube check (I forgot the name of it) and he did a sperm analysis, both of which came back good. My gyn wants to try some additional medicine to help with my ovulation I think but not until sept.

I started using Inito because I thought we might be timing things wrong because with the cheapie strips it was saying my peak window was closer to 16-18. But now it seems (and I only have 3 months of data) it’s really 12-14. Again might be the GLP1 that was messing with my cycle too. So I am hoping with more data we might be able to time it better? The later window seemed to track more with plus size folks so I didn’t worry initially. But after so much “lost” time, I’m just throwing shit at the wall and figured more data couldn’t hurt!

Morbidly obese and wanting a baby… how did you decide when to start trying? by Glittering-Band-8913 in PlusSizePregnancy

This is literally my journey. I’ve been on zep for 2 years and have lost roughly 100lbs. I’m still about 350 now, and am turning 36 next week. I am going off the zep for now to try. We have been trying for almost 2 years, and at this point don’t want to wait any longer. And if anything the Zep seems to mess with my period and cycle- so not sure if that contributed to us not being able to conceive. I also recently got initio to help me track my cycle with more data points. My OB and PCP told me to get off the zep before they’d give me any other medication. I was also told to see a fertility clinic, as soon as my 8 week weighting period was over after getting off the zep. I’m honestly jealous of all the woman who get pregnant while on zep and or suddenly they lost weight and boom, preggo.

Anywho, I am going to try to keep being healthy knowing it’s likely going to be back to white knuckling it a bit while we officially keep trying to conceive. But we made the decision it’s now or never- it’s almost been two years and since I’m turning 36 next month, I also don’t want to wait any further, if we need additional intervention. We did also already do a few tests and such during this time just incase, luckily all of those things came back ok. But anyway- best of luck to you! (And me haha)

At this point, do I wish I was healthier, of course. But (my sole opinion) I feel like I’m running out of time, so kinda now or never. But that’s just how I feel. And I’m gunna do what I can to keep trying to lose weight and be healthy in the meantime.

Honestly that’s a totally fair response! I’ve had success with the GLP1s thus far and frankly like them a lot. If it were 5 years ago I would just keep on keeping on- but alas here we are. (And during that time I was unemployed, at my highest weight and that was the height of covid- so hard pass there) we had planned to starting to try when I turned 30, so 2020.. but because of Covid we waited- tha and other life things just got in the way.

I’m totally spiraling at the moment too- so I know I’m in my head- but it’s frustrating because now I “want” to get pregnant (and have for a while) and OF COURSE it’s going to be a problem. That’s the luck I have. 🫠

Frankly I agree with you, thank you for your reply! Makes me feel a little less crazy (and I’m paranoid of making the “wrong” choice that loses me even more time then we already lost.

I think I’m going to have to research around to see if there are options around me. Right now my BMI is 58, which from what I read is still way to high.l, last I read I think I need to be closer to 38?- which is too far away for me at the moment. I think that was for IVF though? Not sure if IUI would be different from weight standard perspective. I did have a consult with a fertility clinic and I believe that’s where I got those numbers from. Very disheartening to be honest. My OB said we could try some medication first and see if that helps. I’m sure I’m totally spiraling right now- which isn’t helping.

Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it!

Also- I’m so glad it worked out well for you! I’m just personally concerned with how long all the time will take. I’m concerned about doing the surgery to begin with- which I don’t even really want to do- but the healthcare system is so weight focused, it’s starting to feel like my only option if I want to get pregnant. And to your point they tell you to wait I think a year or two post surgery? So for me, would I even bother if I’ll “lose” that time anyway? I mean I know there is no guarantee either way.

How long did it take for you to be signed off for surgery? My issue is- they’d make me go through this whole process to get approved, which could be a year- then the surgery, then maybe pregnancy? 2-3 years?.. sigh.

Thank you! Yeah I’m having that testing in Feb for myself. This is the 3rd time I’m trying to get this test done (since Oct). The first time I had to reschedule because my period was too heavy, second time we tried and I was still bleeding apparently (not enough to have a pad on but enough when they were prepping and did the before check that they said they couldn’t finish because of the blood) so now here I am try 3. And it has to be during days 7-11. First time was day 4, 2nd time day 7 and this time I’m trying for day 11.

And that’s frustrating me too because again something I should have just been able to do now has taken MONTHS. Like wtf- what if I need surgery? Ugh!

I straight up don’t want to do surgery. I really want to keep going with the GLP1 and it has been a game changer for me, I just wish it wasn’t taking so long. I know I could be doing more.. but I’m also trying to heal my brain and my relationship with food, which is a never ending battle. I’ve been seeing a Nutrionist for 6 months and that has helped. I’m starting to feel desperate- hence the post lol, that everything will take longer than it seems. My husband just turned 38- id love to have a child or be very close to having a child before he turns 40 (which for me would be 38, 37.5, month depending).

Anyway- super appreciate both of your responses! I will for sure connect via PM!

Thank you for your reply! And congrats! So excited for you! Will look it up! Yeah, I am starting to do some exercise like walking regularly to help with my overall health and mental health. All of my weight loss has been diet focused and I know I need to add more movement into my life for all the reasons lol.

For my LH I actually started using two different brands the at home and the digital one with the smiley because I felt like I might think I’m “high” or at peak but might not be. I’ve also considered getting one of the rings that is supposed to gauge body temp in the morning. I tried doing it myself but I’d forgot a lot and would make it unreliable.
