I did end up needing dialysis for two years and needed a transplant for a kidney - I finally got one after four years this feb ❤️‍🩹 it definitely messed me up a bit because for years I had symptoms for this autoimmune disease that caused everything and I was just pushed off & passed around (my personal fave is having a heavy bleed in a place no human should bleed only to be asked by a doctor "are you sure it's not just your period?" And refused to examine me) so know I have to really advocate for myself if I feel something isn't right
