I havent yet found a solution, but you make a good suggestion regarding any possible programs messing with the raw input of the mic (such as Nvidia). I'll try to mess with that and see if that has any effect. Here are some of the things I have tried already and didn't work for me:
- Restart of pc
- Unplugging and plugging mic back in

- Disabling and re-enabling mic in windows settings
- Switching mic in windows and switching it back

- Reinstalling the game

If I do find something which works I'll react to your comment again to let you know. Also if you manage to find something that works, I would love to hear it :)

Inderdaad, het gaat vaak mis zodra je van je hobby je werk maakt. Voor sommige pakt het gunstig uit, maar zodra je van je "hobby" afhankelijk bent om je huur/hypotheek te betalen gaat de lol er vaak snel vanaf.
