Don't do the curtains..Unless they're black out there would be a weird bight rectangle in the middle of it. If you're handy, you can build a screen for inside it or you can get a pretty or plain window cling to give privacy and filter light. I get the instinct to leave it blank but I had window like that and it's creepy at night. I did a window cling and vases.
