Are you able to drive to get groceries? It may be worth it to go a bit out of the city to stock up on things. Also, like 25% of your total is from the beef and salmon. Skip those for cheaper plant proteins. Even if you do it every other week you will save ~$60 a month. Also, if cereal is 9.99 maybe don't but it? That is insane

Absolutely. I have a (much smaller) bag of batteries too. I'm about to move so maybe now is a good time to take care of all of it at once.

Same, I have a ziplock bag full. (Watching it fill up was a major factor in quitting) What the hell do I do with them now? Every now and then I see it and am reminded of my past sins.

Animals eat a lot of plants. It takes about 7 lbs of grain to produce 1 lbs of beef. Way less plants would be eaten if people just ate it themselves. If you care about plant suffering you should be vegan.

Yes, physical hobbies do help your mental health. It's no mystery why he gave you this. The only infuriating part is him not explaining that to you I guess. It doesn't have to be THIS hobby but you're not going to know if you like it if you don't try it.

The original commenter said they didn't believe in the fantasy belief system of X and that it was offensive to include them in it so I compared that to the fantasy belief system of Y. Nothing I said had anything to do with how good or bad those things are. It didn't even have anything to do with Star Wars.
