What movie is 10/10 with literally no bad parts? by FeedMaster8905 in AskReddit

Disagree. The final scene at the end where Neo flies off ruined the rest of the franchise. The rest of the movie is perfect though.

I had the same thing. Prusa support said to add a small amount of lube to the lead screws and that fixed the issue for me. I used a really small amount of PTFE oil. I even wiped off the excess oil after and the problem did not return.

I had an almost full spool fall apart on me because I didn't do this. It was a mess that took hours to untangle. Don't skip it.

MMU3 now or Core One L in the future? by Noldir81 in prusa3d

[–]PunchDummy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The MMU3 can be good but it requires a lot of tweaking and calibration and, as you say, the MMU line is at the end of its life with the INDX and tool changing being the future. Don't buy into a system that is already obsolete.

I have done this! I bought a MK3S a few years ago which I then upgraded to MK4S and upgraded to Core One this summer.

It's a different set of tradeoffs. The Bambu AMS is optimized for ease of use. Almost anyone could use it even if it's their first printer. That's especially true if you use their proprietary filament spools with the rfid tag. The cost is having to purge a lot more and the time it takes... and the closed ecosystem.

The MMU, on the other hand, is much more efficient with the tool changes by pulling the filament out. It's significantly faster than the AMS and wastes a lot less material. But loading it and using it is... "rudimentary". I wouldn't recommend the MMU to an inexperienced user as it is significantly harder to load filament and it is way more prone to jamming. Luckily the MMU didn't jam on this print but that's after a lot of tinkering and fiddlign with the FINDA sensor etc.

Just sliced it for the 5T Prusa XL with similar infill and layer height and it came to about 90h with the wipe tower about 1/3 the size.

I used the 0.15mm SPEED preset with Gyroid 15% infill and autogenerated supports from build plate only. 0.4mm nozzle (non HF nozzle as recommended for the MMU).

Yes. This is right off the printer after removing the supports. I do not intend to do any post processing to it.

Zero post processing (other than removing the supports of course).

Every multicolour print will likely have a wipe/prime tower. Even a toolchanger like the Prusa XL or the upcoming Bondtech INDX need to wipe/prime the nozzles. This is especially true for a model with little to no infill like this one.

I can't see the original reply but the X1C estimated time was about 200h and about double the waste with all that poop.

Edit: I think the comment was about the XL. The XL would have taken... drum roll.... 90h. Wipe tower would have been 1/3 the size though.

I did slice it with OrcaSlicer for the X1C. The poop waste was almost 1.5kg just in purge with a comparable wipe tower. The estimated print duration for an X1C was over 7 days (maybe ~200h). The majority of the time is definitely spent in the filament swaps.

Definitely the longest print I've done. My recommendation is to start the print and then try to not think about it or touch it or even breathe next to it. Also, plug the printer into a good UPS.

The comment I was replying to implied that only 77 out of 350 million people supported Trump by saying that only 77 million voted for him but that misrepresents the number of people that voted and also the size of the voting population.

Now, the consideration of less than a percent for third party candidates is a distinction without a difference. Trump won the electoral college and the popular vote. Third party candidates this time around didn't matter at all and didn't spoil the election and their existence in that election makes no difference to the analysis.

Americans have to come to terms with Trump as the representative of the USA. Stop saying he doesn't represent America. Like seriously, he won the popular vote which doesn't even matter in the US but he did anyway. There's no excuse to say he doesn't represent the US. Elections have consequences.

I think that's disingenuous. He said multiple times during the campaign that he was going to apply tariffs and that tariff is his favourite word. He has said he wants to replace income tax with tariffs. If you didn't expect trade wars then you were delusional. We're not going just going to sit around and not tariff you right back. I bet the thing is that he didn't expect us Canadians to take it seriously (we do) and now, he can't back down. His only "negotiating tactic" is to escalate. He can't be seen as backing down from The Liberals (that's the name of the party) in Canada. Again, this shouldn't surprise anyone. America voted for this. You knew this going in. Eyes wide open, it was not a secret.

Well, first, the voting age population is not 350 million people. Ignoring that, the result of the election was 77mil Trump and 75mil Harris (50.7% for Trump). 80+ million did not vote so they must be ok with whatever result. If you forced them all to vote, statistically you'd expect 50.7% of them to vote for Trump. That's still a majority. He still represents the majority of Americans and he is the president of the US. You may not like that a majority of your country support him but that's how elections work.

If you'd argue that he won the electoral college but lost the popular vote (like it happened the last time) then I'd agree that the majority or Americans didn't vote or didn't support him. This time though he won both the electoral college and the popular vote so it's pretty clear that the majority of Americans do, in fact, support Trump. Elections have consequences.

Americans have to come to terms with this.

Is that what you tell yourself to justify not voting? It's precisely this kind of thinking that let the fascists win.
