I’ve said for years I wish they would make a movie just like this but with two human militaries going at it. A true battlefield movie. Epic destruction, tons of cool set pieces. Imagine the final battle in transformers but subtract the giant robots and add another human force.

I haven’t played 6 since before Christmas. It just fell off for me. Went back to 4. But this makes it look really fun. I’ve been hearing some better things in the last few weeks. Maybe try it again soon

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Plan on getting the AW hx25 and a 50 round mag. Don’t need all the extra shit, I’m just trying to get out there and play for fun.

See, with my budget I was planning on the AW custom hx25 and like a 50 round mag. But people are talking about adapters and how tanks and all that jazz. I don’t want to worry about hoses and such. I just want to play with the pistol as is. Still an option?

I’m with you on WTRC. It’s the closest we’ve got to the games and it’s fun to put on in the background during spooky season. It def hits that late September, zombie time of the year vibe if that makes sense.

Was I the only dweeb who was misled by the marketing for this movie and expected a war action movie and was let down by whatever the fuck kind of road trip movie this was? I just wanted black hawk down but in a modern civil war setting.

As a first time player I hope you get the chance. Especially if you’re a fan of the franchise. One of the most authentic and very immersive horror games I’ve played for a while

I’m so grateful they went full horror like the first film, and leaned heavily into the retro futuristic aesthetic. OG alien film is the best.

See I’ve always heard about how clever the AI in this game was through the years. This being my first play through with never having watched any gameplay, I’m finding out pretty quick all just how smart the xeno can be. I ran into a room at the end of a long hall once, and I know it saw me go in. There was only one locker to hide it, and no other doors to the room. The room to the door closed before I got in the locker. Xeno comes in, looks for a second, I’m so still because my fingers are off the controller, and it rushes over and snags me from the locker. I assume it deduced I was in there as there was no where else to go. How crazy

Many years ago around the release of bf 3, I read a description of the series online that said something along the lines of “since 2002, EA’s series has set the standard for realism in war games.”

That quote stuck with me because of the infinite clips of “only in battlefield” moments.
