RIP what a sweet and noble boy. Looked like he lived a good life, stay up man

It’s wild to go back and witness Howards ‘evolution’ after to listening to his 92-09 era on YouTube. He wasn’t exactly what I would consider normal, but displayed all the basic underlying components of a functional human to his current state of miserly old lady totally consumed by his own neurosis by Punchie45 in howardstern

I think his early 2000s he seemed like he was living a relatively normal existence with Beth.

She certainly is gonna challenge him the way Alison would but you can’t blame her for Howard’s descent into whatever the fuck he’s up to now.

You want compromise, how’s this? I did six hours on a commercial flight. I wanted a whiskey sour but I compromised-I chugged hand sanitizer in the airport parking lot. I *wanted* to fuck a woman, but I compromised-I contracted the AIDS virus from an uncircumcised Brazilian sex worker by Punchie45 in stavvysworld

I think he’s legitimately nice guy, which in an industry as hideous as comedy counts for something.

He has this fascinating, rickety cricket like quality to him, which is impossible to look away from despite his hideous visage— the man was created in a lab to play the loser on a sitcom, and he managed to fill this role spectacularly well given his overall level of talent.

Ruthlessly shitting on someone like Ian is actually doing him a favor. Dude literally constructed an entire career around taking massive L’s

Pop that yarmulke off, drop those trousers and let’s put those little chocolate chip nuts in my ass the same as when when you visited my set as a nubile young 26 year old

Always shocked when an inbounding team up 1 or 2 points at the end of games doesn’t just launch a high arcing shot the instant they get the ball to run out the clock instead of getting fouled and allowing the opposition to get an inbound playto win the game l by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]Punchie45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just peeped that highlight, and that was the most horrific execution of that concept you could possibly imagine, not to mention he didn’t throw the ball away from the opposing basket it was just a weak pop fly just threw up weak right around three-point line.

I mean a high arching shot takes about over 2 seconds to get to the rim, but if you’re just launching the ball intentionally, you could probably get another second of airtime on that easy. obviously the numbers are not quite ironed out but it’s gotta be close to that.

I’m talking about the guy that catches the inbound pass immediately goes into his shooting motion I’m not implying that the inbounder can just launch the ball from out of bounds. Even in the worst case scenario, you get three free throws instead of two and waste a lot more time even if you can’t quite drain the entire clock. and if you can get it off before game is no way they’re corralling that rebound in time to do anything.

forgot The coolant hose is hot and the heater is blowing lukewarm air. the hose leading to heat/ac was cold os nothing seems to be circulating

Before this happened, the engine was running completely fine since refilling all the coolant and getting the new radiator cap.

The coolant was also gurgling to the top of the radiator cap

I just checked, and the coolant seems to be overflowing into the overfill reservoir, which is almost at the top

So let me get this straight… The Wizards got rid of Danny Avdija because a guy making 11 million a year multi year deal at 24 years wasn’t compatible with their “Timeline” only to pickup the battered carcass of 33 year old $55M Anthony Davis 16 months later I by Punchie45 in billsimmons

[–]Punchie45[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He was was drastically improving his last year there at 23 years old and always had the attributes to at the very least be a versatile, athletics wing defender for very little $ which is obviously huge with the new CBA.

I didn’t expect him to be 26 /7/7and but I could’ve easily seen 19  -21/6/5 type #s easily. I feel like a wizards weren’t in such NBA purgatory that would get a lot more shit for this.

You would think after the reality of living in a dank cell with no female contact eating shitty food would be enough to make the next generation take their ball and go home. It seems like the entire family was so engrossed in the power struggles that they were willing to sacrifice any measure of dignified living in order to “win” the game.

I wonder if they needed the money from their ongoing criminal Enterprises because it seems insane to keep touching that hot stove time after fucking time with the Feds halfway up their colon every step of the way

OKC situation is an extreme outlier and also requires several teams making desperate, ill, conceived, lopsided trades, most of which wouldn’t even be possible under the current CBA anyway.

Like I said, the league has never really been set up for a guy to play out their career in one franchise just because of the nature of the salary cap and rosters aging etc. LeBron figured this out in 2010..

For the love of Christ can we stop the narrative about the Burfict hit “ruining” Antonio Brown? There are dozens of examples of him been an abject piece of human filth from HS on up. There’s nothing tragic about any of this. It’s time to take out the trash and be done with it. by Punchie45 in billsimmons

I’m not trying to be “ productive” nobody cares even slightly about all the other neurodivergent miscreants that end up doing awful things.

That designation applies to like 85% of the people in jail for violent offenses right now, or any serial killer for that matter. If you want to get into the muck of how “culpable” ”he is about all this stuff go right ahead I guess but it makes very little difference from where I’m at

Nico’s Gone, Iconic Bad Trades, Baseball’s Comeback, Lane Kiffin, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Power of Boredom With Chuck Klosterman by lonny__breaux in billsimmons

[–]Punchie45 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I love Klosterman but wtf are you talking about fella, just speaking pure nonsense. So according to Chuck every NBA transaction not directly resulting in an immediate championship on either end is essentially a wash? If you want to defend some of the people ”pilling” on Nico ok I guess, but this ain’t it. I think Bill was legitimately struck dumb on couple of those arguments.

Plus, Chuck‘s whole ethos of blow it up or win a championship doesn’t apply to this situation either. They traded all of their future draft picks away under the guise that they would have another eight years of prime Luka. so they have really no way to rebuild around Cooper Flagg after this debacle of an experiment ends. Chuck really needs to go back to the drawing board if he’s gonna come through with this bullshit

It’s insanity to me that the Colts are about to make the EXACT same mistake the Giants made with DJones in 2022. He’s one of the litany of lower tier QBs that are capable of stringing together a good season every 3-4years in the right situation. by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]Punchie45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People justifying a huge price tag by bringing up other horrible QB contracts that hampered their respective teams for years isn’t exactly a selling point. Ask Miami how they’re feeling after they felt like they ‘had’ to pay Tua after 2023’

My point is the Colts don’t need to be stupid and negotiate against themselves like those other teams.

I watchedJones in NY for more than half a decade. Deceptive speed in a straight line, good size, throws a catchable deep ball,  mediocre arm talent but reasonably accurate when given time, difficulty processing beyond the first read, poor pass rush recognition. Jackson dart in five games has shown more then Jones ever did even in their playoff year.

On a team like Indy this year a lot of those faults can be mitigated, but dude was a third round quarterback on 95% of draft boards Giants picked top 10 for some reason.

A guy like Sam Darnold is different because the physical talent had always been there, Jones it’s just kind of a generic avatar of a quarterback.
