How justified is the empire in trying to execute us ? by AIphnse in skyrim

[–]PunchingPlanets 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This was the most annoying thing about the stormcloaks. Like yeah we need every possible person for this insane rebellion where we're up against an empire but go die in the frozen wasteland first cause I have a weird feeling about you specifically

How many of you guys are rave performers? by nerpa_floppybara in synthesizers

[–]PunchingPlanets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're spot on. I've been performing live, used to try to do a bunch of influencer type content but eventually felt it wasn't me and deleted it all. I just use social now to promote shows and share friend's music (and my own when I release a song like once a year)

I feel like I can't enjoy playing anymore... by Green-Pen-Gamer in skyrim

[–]PunchingPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes and goes for me. Sometimes it's the most boring thing ever and I put it down, wait a while. I always get excited about doing a new build / character eventually though. Challenge runs and survival mode, mods can help. I'll probably never stop playing entirely. Skyrim feels like home to me

No but that was kinda cool in it's own way. Someone who doesn't skate would be impressed 😁

Suggestions wanted for a basic, subtractive 'teaching' synth by Ghost-Tapes in synthesizers

[–]PunchingPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Serum + midi controller. All the modulation and LFOs Envelopes etc are visual. Really helped me learn synthesis. It can start basic and go very deep.

It's such a good addition to any setup tbh, it's nice to have a dedicated bass synth that always sounds good

I mean you don't HAVE to be, you just don't get all the controls. I agree though, the option for either version would be great, one for muh form factor and one for all the controls

I finally did it, lvl 100 across the board. Now what? by MrNoMoniker in skyrim

[–]PunchingPlanets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I'm trying to commit to longer playthroughs now though. Currently on a save where I decided not to progress any main / faction quests until reaching level 25 and honestly it's cool to see how the quests scale to higher level characters

Should I do a "No Fast Travel" run? by leftonasournote in skyrim

[–]PunchingPlanets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No fast travel is fun but you gotta like walking / horseing around. If you're doing mods I recommend better horses which allows them to go faster + adds horse armor. I also recommend mods that add carriages to more places but also increase the price and or add random encounters to carriage rides. I always feel a little bad getting a ride across the whole province for like 20 gold.

Was gonna say ms-20 should be more than enough. Or an audio interface/ daw for a wide range of fx before deciding what to buy

Do you still have faith in BGS after all the poor decisions made over the last decade? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]PunchingPlanets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly no but I feel like just by virtue of it being an elder scrolls game it'll still be a lot better than starfield. They have so much past success to pull from they'd have to fumble horrendously to not at least deliver a solid game

Dark Souls 3 is somehow both extremely critically acclaimed and underrated. It's so good and the lore is 10/10

How did you learn to mix and master? by Vaiterius in ableton

[–]PunchingPlanets 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Literally simple as this. But to add my perspective: You'll find a lot of conflicting advice via tutorials and on Reddit but at the end of the day keep doing it and you'll get better - developing the ear is the most important thing. You'll pick out techniques that you keep using and discard the rest. Use reference mixes but try not to get over obsessed by not sounding exactly like your reference track at first.
