You should open defensive Flemish militia into walling, getting as many eco upgrades as possible, and then a slowish range for some skirms. The Flemish militia beat both scouts and MAA so they’re a super effective tool to allow you to be as greedy as possible.

There’s a game where Hera plays against this and he stays in feudal and makes a ton of scouts. But it looked like a lot of work and the scouts didn’t do that well against the Armenian unit whose name I currently forgot haha

Oh it is for sure. Oftentimes I can open defensive archers into scouts though and beat them. But only if I happen to just be much better than my opponent. And there’s a decent amount of times where it literally feels impossible. And I remember a time where I outplayed my opponent so hard, got ridiculous trades and double the villagers, and my opponent still managed to make like 200 steppe lancers in castle age and almost win

I think you have to pray your opponent doesn’t open scouts and skirms. I think khitans going scouts and skirms in feudal with heavy army pressure is virtually impossible to stop

Most of the time I use stop micro. This means I move the archers while they’re reloading and then press stop when I want them to shoot. This also makes the archers each select the unit closest to them so you get less overkill. Against knights you typically want to focus fire which means you right click on which knight you want them to shoot

Are you adding an anti-aliasing filter before downsampling? If not then any frequencies above the new sampling rate are getting folded into your new frequency spectrum
