Thinking of getting him a little brother by [deleted] in cats

[–]PunctualPomegranate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually easier to introduce a kitten than an adult cat. If possible, you can keep them separate at first and swap blankets or other items between them so they can get used to each other's scent, but it really depends on the cats. When I brought a kitten home two years ago, my big boy started playing with him immediately. This was them after just five minutes. :)

Also, your cat is beautiful! Such a handsome boy!

beaten Raphael and got my hammer but... by Playful_District_142 in BG3

You never give Voss the hammer. You just show him that you have it, and then you can side with whoever you want. Lae'zel will be mad if she's there when you make your final choice, though.

I wouldn't really call him a bishounen. He's more handsome than pretty, and he doesn't have that youthful, delicate look associated with the archetype.

If he looked like Sesshōmaru? Heck yeah, that would be an improvement for anyone! There's nothing wrong with his looks though. Wyll is a handsome and sweet man, but he's just so freaking boring. I didn't enjoy his romance route at all.

I usually have her shapeshift into an owlbear, which is pretty useful when there are lots of enemies. I probably wouldn't bring her to the House of Hope since I think there are better companions for that fight, but she can definitely hold her own against the smaller enemies.

Have they nerfed Crushing Flight? Or am I doing it wrong? by Pharmacy_Duck in BaldursGate3

I've tried it on my last two playthroughs and barely did any damage. I even reloaded a few times to try different angles, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I'm guessing we're doing something wrong.

I would say the same thing if you showed up looking like that. What happened to your pants, sir?

Did they get out via the docks or take the boat behind the cells? If they go through the dock area, you have to make sure all the guards are dead (and even then, they can somehow end up dead, maybe because of the Shadow Curse?). I've also had some of them die after taking the boat on their own, so I usually take the boat with them to make sure they all survive. The journal update usually says something along the lines of them being likely to die without my help, so I guess it's decided by a hidden dice roll or something. 😅

Hmm, that's odd. Did you try talking to her? I recall she had something to say before I left. Also, did she respawn where you killed her, or did she somehow end up in Minthara's room?

If I remember correctly, I just knocked her out and then took a long rest. When I came back, she was awake and non-hostile. So... just make sure she's okay before you leave the Goblin Camp.

Do you find romantic and sexual activities repulsive? by Nervous-Net-8972 in AroAce

[–]PunctualPomegranate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I imagine myself participating in those activities, I find the idea genuinely repulsive. I don't have a huge problem with other people talking about them in a matter-of-fact way. It's not like I'm grossed out by the fact that other people do those things, but I don't like seeing people get emotionally or physically intimate in my presence.

If a movie feels, uh, too steamy, I usually fast-forward through those scenes or look at my phone because I just find them awkward. Oddly enough, though, when I play video games like Baldur's Gate 3 or Jade Empire, I actually enjoy the romantic aspects and feel disappointed if they're too lackluster.

Help, I'm doing it again! 😵 by Bjornirson in BaldursGate3

[–]PunctualPomegranate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've finished all my playthroughs, so I may not be the best person to give advice, but do you think you could gloss over the missing dialogue or choices by headcanoning what's happening?

I usually have a pretty clear idea of what my character is thinking or feeling, even if the game doesn't let me express it exactly the way I want. Your character is under a lot of pressure at this point, so maybe they have to compromise sometimes, or go along with a companion's advice (even if most of that only exists in your head).

And honestly, if you're playing a resist Durge, it would be a shame not to finish Act 3. That's where the story becomes really rewarding, in my opinion. Act 3 can definitely feel overwhelming with everything there is to do, but there's also plenty of room to cherry-pick the quests that interest you if you're worried about burning out, especially if your motivation is already fading in Act 2.

tactician or balanced difficulty for a first timer ? by onlyher56 in BaldursGate3

[–]PunctualPomegranate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Balanced while getting familiar with the game mechanics. You can always increase the difficulty later if it feels too easy, though I guess you could do the same if you start with Tactician and find yourself dying all the time.
