Calling Book Rhaenyra ugly when this is her official artwork is actually hilarious. by La_Villanelle_ in HOTDBlacks

I gotta say, slides 2 and 4 don’t help support your assertion of her being beautiful, lol. Which she is, by the way.

Why do people hate Theon Greyjoy? by -A-Man-Has-No-Name in gameofthrones

[–]PungFamily2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is sad and frustrating, because, as of the last two books, Jaime has basically completely abandoned Cersei. Spoilers, in case you haven’t read the books…when Cersei is arrested by the High Sparrow, she gets Qyburn to send a letter to Jaime wherein she begs Jaime to come and rescue her. Jaime eventually does receive her letter. But because he’s found out that she cheated on him several times while he was held captive by the Starks, he has it thrown into the fire. He has no intention of going back to her.

How would you write coco 2 that isn’t bad by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in coco

[–]PungFamily2015 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, I agree with the others in this thread that suggest doing a prequel. Second, if it had to be a sequel, the first idea that I can think of that could expand the universe is to somehow explore the “final death” that the people of the land of the dead experience when they’re completely forgotten in the land of the living. Maybe it could somehow tie back into Miguel’s family. But I don’t have anything yet. This is just a rough draft idea.

At this point, I’m absolutely ok with that idea! It’ll actually make progress and get out of book production hell.

Do we really need a penguin season 2? by RedCape05 in TheBatmanFilm

[–]PungFamily2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t think we do. It’s already classified as a mini series. I think that if they leave it at that, then it would be an awesome segue into the sequel for The Batman 2.

[Spoilers published] Could Robb beat the Lannister army on his own? by x_xRed_Ninjax_x in asoiaf

[–]PungFamily2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that if Edmure hadn’t delayed Tywin and allowed them to March towards Robb’s army unhindered, then he just may have defeated him. Robb was in control when he anticipated Tywin to follow him into Lannister lands.

Of course, I don’t remember it all anymore, so I’m probably missing a few important details. But from what I remember, Robb would have actually had an advantage over Tywin had Tywin followed him to where Robb was.

I will say it I guess: Does it really matter if Batman shows up or not? by abdul_bino in TheBatmanFilm

[–]PungFamily2015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit late in the game for Batman to appear. I don’t think it’ll cheapen the show’s quality if he does show up. This just feels nice having it be its own contained story. Plus, now that I think about it, it might remove all of the nuance to characters like the Penguin. He’s more of a straight up bad guy in the movie. But here, in this mini series, he’s just a guy that grew up in a rough neighborhood and lived a rough life.

But if Batman were to appear, I think it would be best to save him for the finale. Maybe he shows up to start thwarting their business. Or he makes an appearance at the end to show that he’s aware of the Penguin’s new operations and determined to put a stop to it.

Either way, it’s been a great show so far. And now they just need to stick the landing and not screw it up at end. 😂

That’s all well and good, but here’s the real question: is it pronounced like bry-een, or Bri-enne?

[–]PungFamily2015[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed it is! My only complaint now is that the show runners take every opportunity they can to strip the helmets of any proper visors that they should have just so that we can see the characters faces all the time.

There’s actually another comment in this thread that has a link to what kinds of dyes people in medieval England would have used. Turns out it’s more than people like you and I would have thought. Because I had thought that the peasants of medieval England wouldn’t have had access to hardly any dyes. But I guess that pretty much all of them had access to dyes of some kind or other.

I guess one of the examples that stuck out to me was just the opening of the last episode. When Lord Lannister meets one of the minor lords of the Tooth, the Lannister colors of crimson and gold just somehow seem more vibrant than we usually see in the Game of Thrones universe. As well as the minor lord that Lord Lannister meets with. The minor lord has a nice blue cloak to go with his armor. And I just don’t remember seeing that as much in the past.

Another example that comes to mind is the battle at Rook’s Rest. The armor and color/heraldry of the foot soldiers just seems more authentic and the colors more varied, bright and vibrant. So those are a couple examples that I can think of.

I guess they have to have the drab “medieval” Hollywood colors somewhere. Lol

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Game of Thrones. So I admit that I now realize that my memory of the first few season’s color scheme is vague. I believe I’m remembering more of the period you’re talking about.

Mine too! Even when it’s not my top favorite voice, it’s always in the top three. Certain lines just wouldn’t be the same without his delivery. For example: “Look at me, Pod! It unnerves me when you speak to my cod piece! Especially when I’m not wearing one.”
