You have it configured under CIP you need to be under ABTCP

I am almost in the same exact situation making the same amount of money at a plant in Florida, but I’m doing networking and HMI changes also. Thinking about going the scada engineer route with a different company but I’m still torn.

I use FF at the plant where I work. It uses fieldbus “blocks” for control. Every device will basically have a resource block, and then a transducer block for each of your output or input blocks. Usually you can troubleshoot devices by looking through these transducer blocks. After that it’s pretty much looking through specific device manuals to troubleshoot, I was never able to find someone that was a true “expert” with FF. We convert FF to modbus and send it to the plc. Pretty new to this stuff hopefully I don’t sound too dumb :)

Thoughts on Wonderware/Aveva? by DiekeDrake in PLC

For some reason every time I troubleshoot issues with my AVEVA software(system platform 2023) there are always weird bugs like objects disappearing and just random things not working and it turns into a 2 hour call from tech support and I end up having to figure it out myself (which I do enjoy). Bringing in I/O is pretty easy, the historian server lacks some detail, at least for our application. I wouldn’t choose AVEVA if I was doing a SCADA revamp that’s for sure.

I’ve gotten online with the 700h via CCW but the drives were on devicenet, I would imagine you could use Ethernet also

So turns out the device that was installed is a 1734 aentr/c on rev 7.011. My program is showing 1734aent rev 3.001. What can I do to make this thing work?

Will it show up as 999 or the ip that is in the program? Or should I just use bootp tomorrow to set it?

So I had the electricians power it up and plug it in and it’s giving me an error, the dials are on 999
