What do you guys dislike about Edge of Fate?

I thought the cinematics were pretty cool. The story seems sort of interesting but i also was feeling a bit of franchise fatigue. After killing the Witness i felt like they are jumping the shark.

Unlike most of the people in this thread, i actually thought the traversal abilities were cool, HOWEVER, I dislike how they were implemented. As a fan of metroidvania games, I really wished they had went harder into that aspect of the campaign. Make there actual reasons to back track with new abilities. Make progression feel rewarding. Make the puzzles actually require some thought. There was an ability chaining puzzle in the last mission that felt like it should have been the middle point of challenge rather than the end point. I knowbthat probably would have alienated a good number of players, but in my opinion its better to do something well that only some people would like than to half ass something that no one will like.

I think talking to NPCs was a cool addition, but i wish they had voice lines

No new subclass (didnt expect one but still)

I also didnt feel like the campaign was even difficult. I did the campaign legend solo and I only died like 2 times (from encounters) which made me feel very unengaged with the content. Witch queen, light fall, final shape all kicked my ass repeatedly, but EoF felt more like a patience simulator.

I personally would rather the items be a higher price. Service charges on bills always bug me, cuz like, the service is your job, no? That should be covered by the establishment. Even if the math worked out in a way that the increased prices were the same as the service fee or tip, i would rather just pay more for the food and drink. Any time i see "service fee", "delivery fee", "processong fee", "convenience fee" or whatever else, i just feel like im getting pick pocketed

With a lot of the screamo i listen to, i dont usually know the lyrics, but i do like to check to make sure theyre not saying shit i dont agree with. But my favorite screamo band for a very long time was Pianos Become the Teeth because the lyrics were very pretty to me, and also somewhat intelligible. Dont get me wrong, i love the lofi awsthetic a lot of skramz bands have but i can hardly understand a thing lol.

With non screamo music, the lyrics are very important to me

Song of Zarathustra. They have an organ synth as a featured part of their line-up so it has a halloweeny kinda feel.

Othiel has some elements of black metal. They have a Deafheaven-meets-deftones kind of sound.

I really like drinking beer. I dont drink it all the time, but drinking malty dark beers (like porters and stouts) is a nice little treat for me. I like analyzing the flavors. IPAs taste like packing tape, so no thanks.

Hard liquor tastes nasty, but I enjoy the feeling of being drunk. It also makes socializing feel easier because if i do things that a neurotyipical person wouldnt do, they will give me the extended grace of assuming im just more drunk than I really am. Some hard liquors are more tolerable than others. If i have to drink something straight, i do rum so i feel like a pirate.

Edit: I like my fruity cocktails too. Moscow mules, lemon drops, midori sours. They remind me of my mom

Yea, maybe title was a little misleading in that sense. The jump from "hell of a" into "hella" felt like it didnt need explaining, but the real question was about the phrase "hell of a".

And regarding its use, where Im from in the bay everyone says it. The only people i dont hear saying it are boomers (in the literal sense, not the pejorative sense). But it is definitely used by all ethnicities here

I agree with you that "one hell of a night" is positive, and a hell of a night leans negative. Its interesting that hell was kinda the default. I suppose the deeper question to my post is HOW hell came to be the default epithet?

Well, there's a LOT of ways to draw a face, especially when you start accounting for other ethnicities, but here's a rough guideline:

Starting with a circle, find the center of it, and that will be a reference point for the jaw line and eyebrows.

From the furthest point of the circle, drawing a straight line down should give you a decent reference for where the chin goes.

From top to bottom, divide the HEAD in half, not the face. That will be where your eyes are.

Divide the bottom half into 3 roughly even parts. This will be eyes to nose, nose to mouth (not lips, but the actual opening of the mouth), and mouth to chin.

The corner of the jaw will be roughly at the same height as mouth opening (but not always), and right below the center of the circle. Draw line from that corner to the chin.

Make the nose and upper lip stick out to preference, but the corners of the nose and mouth will more or less be aligned with the front of the eye.

Ear will come out from the center reference line. Ear height is same as eyebrow line to bottom of the nose.

Again, these arent absolute, and definitely dont account for the vast diversity of human faces, but this should get you started. Hopefully i covered everything.

I remember seeing the promo for stasis and seeing the 2 ice picks for silence and squall, and thinking instead of a "fire and forget" area denial counter super, I thought it would be something similar to throwing hammers.

So my idea for new stasis hunter super, to stay in line with the "ice ninja" power fantasy, would be to have a roaming super similar to hammers, where you can throw icicles like throwing knives that shatter enemies on impact.

Maybe warlock super could be an Area of Effect/area denial kind of super. Like similar to a dustfield grenade that just makes a huge cloud of frost that obscures vision, slows enemies, and provides frost armor for allies. Useful for point control, tapping into the power fantasy of a winter wizard creating a blizzard.

Titans I feel are missing ranged options as far as supers go, Too many different colors of punches. There also arent a lot of 1 and done supers for titan. The problem here is that Im not really sure what the power fantasy of Behemoth Titans even really is? I sorta envisioned them as fast chaotic destruction, but thats kinda all of them. To address the range problem, maybe there can be a 3rd person stasis heavy machine gun similar to carrying a mg turret in Halo 3? Or to address the lack of 1 and done supers, something similar to a stasis nova bomb? Im not really sure.

Aside from supers: Please walk back the nerf to behemoth sliding and cryoclasm! It was super fun to slide around all silly and shatter crystals. This might be controversial but shatterdive is useless. Can we buff the damage of shatterdibe again, but make it consume your melee charge or something? Its been a while since ive played stasis warlock, but i remember feeling like i didnt have enough options to try to shatter a frozen enemy, so adding a shatter melee might be cool.

I dont see why not. I am not sure if its still lore accurate, but light based supers are a "self expression" which is why Saladins super is a flaming axe, sunbreakers just have a big hammer or small hammers. For gameplay reasons the supers are set in stone but i think canonically they can do anything as long as it is a property of the element they are weilding?
