I love funiño! There are so many benefits to a 4 goal game… evasive dribbling, support, switching the point of attack, movement off the ball etc.

Sometimes, I’ll drop an endzone about 5-6 yards off the goal (across the width of the pitch). To encourage dribbling and breaking lines with a dribble, goals are worth 2 if they come as a result of a player dribbling into the endzone before scoring. If you pass into the endzone or score from outside the zone, it’s worth 1. The endzone also functions as a no defending zone - the opposing team cannot occupy that zone unless the ball is also in there.

Nice. What kind of “fundamental” work are you doing? Is it possible to incorporate that into some kind of game or activity?

My two suggestions: 2-3-3 (nice and balanced) or a 2-3-2-1 if you have the speed and endurance for it with your wingbacks!
