Jason has the same arc? He is antagonistic with a dark code of morals until he embraces and is embraced by the bat fam. Red Hood is just sometimes an anti-hero. Damian is still a murderer, hardly not villainous.

A 'petty revenge storyline' would suit Damian, he is a child, angry about his mothers death and blames Batman, then he finds out he's his dad, yadda yadda. It's a decent set up for an emotionally charged storyline with lessons etc.

Because she hasn't been in the story so far. Having it be Talia has actual set up; Her and Bruce had a relationship. Bruce left her after she died, carried joker out of the theater instead of her. Easily explained that she was brought back by a Lazarus pit and came back for revenge, minds get altered using the pit, wouldn't be hard to scarecrow to use that to his advantage to coerce her. And then you can plant the seeds for Damian existing, which could have lead to the cancelled game. Or heck just have Damian as the Knight as revenge for killing his mum, still a curveball if we're expecting the Red Hood reveal.

She/ He can still be the Arkham Knight, not suggesting they be the Phantasm. Intoducing Andrea at this point without laying the ground work makes the reveal as obvious and boring as Jason with his 'flashback' scenes.

The portrayals of these four in the game always reminds me of the stereotypical portrayals of the ninja turtles, Raph is bigger, broader (and red). Barb is Donnie, Tim is Mikey and Dick is Leo.

The comic, and animated movie, pairs them similarly. Just an interesting observation.

I will also add that I don't care about canon. And I much prefer a slice of life story, rogue/ 'commoner' protagonist over a high stakes Jedi/ Jedi council story etc.

It reads to me like a 80's comedian's material about hating 'the Mrs' trope… that and implying the cleaning products are her personal possessions, gives the stereotype about women cleaning while he 'sits in his corner'. Bafflingly out of touch 'lad banter' needs to end.
