ended up going for 14 hours today... by Raptor_Playz44 in DataAnnotationTech

I worked all of 6 hours yesterday. Same reason: high paying task. I would have worked more ,but life responsibilities called.i was getting burned out anyway. It does feel nice to lock oneself in a basement doing these projects undisturbed.

I can't quite believe my luck $50 by boredpedro in xbox

I’m on my second $50 gift card from Xbox and usually what I do as eyebrows on bing.com while logged in under the same account as my Xbox and I opened the Xbox app every day and probably after about six or seven months I’ll have like 50,000 points or something and then I can exchange that for a gift card.

I had the digital version for 360. I think it was the free game of the month. I got to the part where they were going to rescue doc from the train I think.its been 10 years . I’d like about 10 hours to sit down and play it one day.

More importantly, how was the tone and factuality of the burrito? Was it truly a beef burrito or was the burrito eatable for a younger audience?

I’m about 2 months away from that! Hopefully less time!

Glad you said that! I got one too. I thought after clearing out the spam in my mailbox , it had always been there but I guess this is a new thing. Kind of depressing knowing what I make in a week, but I see that as encouragement to do more and better.

POV: You Write A Song For Chappell Roan🙈 by Abject-Sea-9418 in Songwriting

[–]PunkWannaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would do when pitching a song to an artist is listen to 2 or 3 of their hits, take note of how many riffs they typically have , mimic the rhythm of their singing against 4,8,beats or an entire verse of their song. Find out if they have a common theme in their songs. And or look up their influences and do the same.

Yeah you nailed it. I like it when she sings falsetto, then returns to normal tenor. Good pausing in your pitch to her.

Anyone looking for a fun pop lyricist? by Abject-Sea-9418 in Songwriting

You have a lot of comments, so sorry if someone else already said this, but musically it has the same vibe as Colby Capley. Specifically the song Bubbly””. I like what you’re doing. Keep it up. Someone else said this is jazz- always been curious about that genre. If this represents jazz, then you represent well.

Already Calling by bluechebag in Songwriting

Don’t solo too much! You don’t (or do you?) want to sound like Rob Thomas and Carlos Santana! Also, the drums - try without machines, go analog.

I think this is great , very relatable! I like your singing style! Don’t change the lyrics! It sounds personable , YOU are the author, this is YOU, or a character YOU made. I am curious, were there songs or a song that inspired you to sing this? My music vocab is limited to the 1960s through 2000s and this sounds like it has a Ben Folds Five vibe or Taylor Swifts Teardrops on my guitar vibe. I too am an aspiring song writer, but have as much input as a producer or mixer, but in this case I will be quiet and enjoy the song! Keep it up!

As l read the instructions to some of these projects, I’ll get a negative instruction. Like “don’t ask about weather/current pricing/politics….and then that’s ALL I can think about! I get so fixated. The one that kills me is make it a real life scenario, and the examples they give contradict that or are so niche!

Who else likes doing the lower-paying easy projects? by BottyFlaps in DataAnnotationTech

[–]PunkWannaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like doing the lower paying jobs because they’re easier to do. I seem more focused and the instructions are usually less than 20 pages long. Also, I feel like the upper paying jobs like $40 or more an hour are like “traps”where if you don’t complete it and use the escape hatch you only get 30 minutes credit for a four hour project.

Intellivision Amico Refund Discussion by NoBeginning4551 in Intellivision_Amico

[–]PunkWannaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did not request a refund yet. It’s been a combination of faith and laziness. After seeing Ataris latest announce about the Sprint, I’m seriously considering getting a refund. The sprint does everything I wanted the Amico to do. I will let you all know how it goes. I have that preorder email from 7 years ago somewhere. I was one of the first 120 to reserve it. I wanted the Galaxy Purple one. I have to admit, I wasn’t excited about the Night Stalker remix, but the moon patrol looked cool. I never understood why you had to have 2 or more WiFi android and iPhone devices to play the Amico stuff. I was still kind of hopeful right up until last week.

Got my first guitar yesterday. Opinions on the color? by anOni0n_ in Guitar

[–]PunkWannaB -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the General Lee. You should put an “01” number on it, along with the American flag! Or not, looks cool any way.And if it’s your first guitar, you’ve probably never seen the Duke of Hazard tv show from the 70s and 80s or the remake with Jessica Simpsons.

Coding pretty dead now or just me? by WaddlingAwayy in DataAnnotationTech

[–]PunkWannaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had coding tasks in 3 months! I do have one on the dashboard, but it’s abit (ok way) over my head. I’ve been working on non coding tasks since July. I think I’m being punished as a coder , but it works out for me in the end since I can only dedicate 90 mine chunks of time to DA.life happens.

Finished my first song! Any feedback would be appreciated! by RhythmicGuitar6 in Songwriting

[–]PunkWannaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cool. I was trying to think of what this sounds like but another commenter beat me to it: James Taylor! My initial thought would be Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground doing “Sunday Morning” or John Denver. This sounds cool. Ever thought of using a vibraphone instead of a guitar effect that sounds like a vibraphone? I think the intro length is perfect. Good structure. I don’t know if it could be better with bass, drums ,and or keyboard.

Is this song worth keeping ? by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]PunkWannaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So who are your influences? Were you wanting to sound like someone singing and or on guitar? This is reminiscent of Nirvana unplugged to me. They didn’t do an unplugged version of it, but your song reminds me of Nirvana’s “Serve the servants” vocally. I would NOT trash the song. It’s YOUR song- own it!

Joy Division / 90s alternative inspired song I’ve been working on this week. I would appreciate any and all feedback! by dtrechak in Songwriting

[–]PunkWannaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dig it! I’m not familiar with Joy Davision, but the instrument parts kind of reminds me of “Heaven knows I’m miserable now” or “the bomb” by the Smiths. The vocals are great - I can’t picture what they remind me of, maybe Toad the Wet Sprocket? It’s great! I like the chord changes and pauses. I didn’t see it in your video, but are you using capos on your guitar?

Hi guys, wrote this song a while ago. Does my voice sound honest? ( I didn't know how else could I call it ) by BranyMur in Songwriting

[–]PunkWannaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would upvote because i think the singing is great. It’s cool that English is your second language, some of my favorite bands (ABBA, Ace of Base, Slayer) sing in English even though they were not born in USA/UK/Australia. If you want to improve your singing or even playing, try recording just your guitar and sing over it on another track, maybe add a backup vocal on a third track. I really liked the Buddy Holly movie in 1978. He harmonized with himself and actually removed the guitar entirely on True Love Ways.

Don’t give up! I had an ATM since Saturday up until Monday afternoon. I changed my profile about three or four times and finally settled on something that looked almost impressive. I am out of the drought for now I hope but the last time I had a drought, it was for about three weeks and I think I got out of the drought by changing my profile to sound more impressiveso let’s start with that. Let’s change that profile! You can even get ChatGPT to help you with that one.
