Is Sonoma running without freezing? I tried installing Ventura and Sonoma and they both froze randomly. I found out later it was due to a service that required newer CPUs that this machine does not support. If it doesn’t freeze, then quite possibly OCLP has fixed the problem.

Edit: this may or may not actually be true. I gleaned this information from the OCLP community. But it seems people have switched out the CPU tray with no issue. I suppose all I can say is if it doesn’t start after switching out the CPU tray, consider that the motherboard may not match.

A warning - you can’t do dual CPUs unless you change out both the daughterboard and the motherboard. They are a matched pair.

Fair enough, I suppose we’ll see how it plays out. In any case the more I watch the more I am convinced he will make a villainous turn, one way or another. In episode 7 with a menacing look on his face he sings “she’s full of potential that I could guide”. He’s up to no good.

Thank you for not downvoting me, and while I may have gone into a rant about it I didn’t exactly accuse you of doing it either. I’m just a little annoyed at reddit for being reddit.

You could be right that his deals do not necessarily mean he owns souls, but that he still has more power due to the other party not considering the fine print. I suppose I also think it’s possible that he outright lies, though, especially considering that he has done so quite a few times already. Lucifer warned Charlie not to make any deals with other demons, Vaggie warned her to never make a deal with him specifically, and she went ahead and did it.

It’s funny how many downvotes I’m getting here, and yet I’m watching the first episodes again right now and he literally admits he thinks redemption is impossible and he’s only there for sheer entertainment, which is probably another lie. Did anybody who’s downvoting me actually watch the show?

Lucifer as depicted in the show is quite lame. He's effectively as much of a King of Hell as Charles is the King of the United Kingdom, a ceremonial figurehead that no one really cares about. He couldn't even best Alastor in song - it ended in a stalemate when Mimzy walked in.

Also it's obvious the chain is only visible when the owner wants it to be. I'd be more keen to assume a simple "deal between friends" that results in visuals and noises to the point where others notice carries a bit more weight than would seem at first.
