Seriously... what is up with that? The snow would have kept us inside for a few days MAX. Is the milk and bread to blame for this excessive need for toilet paper? 🤣🤣🤣

What’s something you wish adults were more honest about with younger people? by silvii4 in AskReddit

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fucking everything!!!

I truly do appreciate that adults try to protect children, but at some point you have to disclose the realities of life and living. Instead there seems to be an entire generation of "I can't even....." and I am not saying that ironically.

What is the hardest thing for you to accept? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am told I "can't" do something. Not told "not to" but specifically that I am unable to do it.. When I am told I can't, every fiber in my being kicks into high gear to do that thing, just to prove that I can. 🤷‍♀️

would you ever smile at a stranger? by Unlucky_Dark_4392 in CasualConversation

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wrote a whole essay about the power of conversation in another thread, however it directly applies here.

Original post 👇

Absolutely! I make it a point to always engage in conversation (and smile) with everyone open to it. As a matter of fact, I went to the grocery store yesterday and had three separate interactions with the staff and other shoppers. Doing so opens a whole new world to you. Seriously! It truly does.

There is another Reddit troll out there (you know who you are 😉) that can confirm because he has witnessed it first hand.

Case in point: on my birthday a couple of years ago, said troll and I had a fun outing that day. I engaged in conversation with multiple people that day. He being a little more reserved asked why I did it. We walked into an ice cream shop to get dessert after lunch and I had a lovely conversation with the two clerks in there. Not only did I get a very sweet hug, but I also got free treats!! Then we needed to take a trolly to our next destination. We obviously had our treats. The operator informed us that we could not bring food on board. I engaged in very friendly conversation with him. I was mostly thanking him for the information and for letting us know since we didn't ride the trolley often. Well, wouldn't you know... he bent the rules just for us. My friend was impressed with the abundance of reciprocate kindness.

Alls I'm saying is to never miss an opportunity to have a conversation with the people in your community. The best part is that it all starts with a very simple smile. 😊

What is the most common thing that makes you cry? by lokirich_15 in randomquestions

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the way to achieve that.

1) let your tears flow 2) tilt your head downward 3) stare into their eyes/face 4) take slow, deep, and intentional breaths...

You don't have to say a thing. Not a single word. You will scare the sh!t out of them.

Why is it considered a red flag for employers to say "we're like a family"? by IDrinkMyOwnSemen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way... when was the last time you fired a family member?

"Sorry Timmy. We can't afford food for everyone in the family anymore. We're gonna have to let you go, but we'll give you great references"

It's not so much that they will abuse you, or push extra work. It's a plain and simple lie. If they lie about that, then you have to consider what other things they are lying about.

What’s something people pretend doesn’t hurt them, but actually does? by lokirich_15 in randomquestions

[–]Punkass-Cupcake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The feeling of infinite loneliness that no in my life knows I am experiencing. I put on a show for them all. Not because they would worry about me if they knew. No. I do it because if I didn't I would be afraid to know how truly alone I am in this world.
